Connekt Gear MC505 Desktop PC Microphone - Black

I've had this mic for around 2 and a quarter years, it's still working just as well as when I bought it. I use it mostly for talking to friends over Skype and Discord, hasn't had a single fault! You wouldn't use this mic for studio grade recordings, by any means, but the sound is clear and concise, none of my friends have ever had trouble hearing me over the mic, and if they have it's always been an internet issue.In terms of sound quality, as mentioned before it's far from studio quality but it comes through just as clear as my Blue Snowball mic on Skype and Discord. If you're looking for a mic to record your voice in/over gameplay, this is more than worth the price.The mic is detachable from the stand so there's a lot of flexibility where you want to place your mic on your desk. It's lightweight and extremely portable, I go back and fourth from college (university) with it and I've never had a problem. I've got the mic sitting under my monitor, that ball-joint arm that fits into the base gives you even more freedom with placement.Overall probably one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon, and definitely the one I brag about the most to friends looking for a microphone.

Bought this little mike because the one on my headphones had packed up. Astonishingly cheap little thing that sits on the desk and behaves itself. There is a bit of background whoosh and whisper (not a great deal) - and I am doing videos for you tube - not the BBC so this is just fine.Great for skyping also.Also delivered quickly!

Works fairly well and for a cheap price. I have been using it with Audacity and the sound is clear, but not particularly sharp. May work better with other mic software.

I bought two microphones at the same time; this one at a fiver and a Buddy Flamingo 7G at twelve times the price. The Buddy Flamingo works okay – but this one works equally well. I use both microphones with Dragon NaturallySpeaking and get equal accuracy with both of them. Now I can use the cheap one (which has a base) with my desktop and the Buddy with my laptop as it mounts in one of the USB slots. This one looks like being the best fiver I've ever spent – I was prepared for it to be a bit of a joke. I use it by the way in connection with a USB sound module (better accuracy than plugging int the pc microphone socket) which I already had for use with a head set – but aren't expensive to buy anyway. Cheap and maybe a bit delicate, but if you don't kick it about…

I use Skype for work and I've had no complaints about sound quality, I've no complaint with this product and the price was excellent

Its a good quality microphone however for me the flaw is that the microphone adapter wire only works when positioned in a certain place on my PC.

Inexpensive microphone that works well for Skype and other VOIP, in-game or on-line communication.Not ideal for (eg) recording vocal tracks or acoustic instruments, but that typically calls for a more costly mike.It assembles easily, stands by itself on the desktop, gets near enough to the face to work well with Skype,and all for under a fiver.Recommended for speech applications!

Cord was extra long as advertised.

This microphone will fit my recording needs perfectly.
