Not ideal for people with limited mobility
This bedpan was described as being very good for people who are bed-fast. I can see where this bedpan could be good for a person who can assist with getting themselves on it. But my mother is totally immobile and we could not get her on this pan as she cannot assist at all. I probably should have done more research but the listing looked clear & straightforward. It appears to be sturdy & well made bit I would only recommend it for people with average strength & mobility.

I couldn't imagine trying to help my loved one with anything other than this bed pan.
This is a remarkable product...well worth the price.I was scared to death to have to help my wife with her bodily functions. I was scared the cheap, plastic bedpans the hospital sent us home with would be a problem to clean and would be flimsy. I was correct on both counts. I ordered this bedpan first and foremost because it looked like it would be more comfortable and less stressful on my wife's skin. Once again, it worked out for us that it was more comfortable and easier on her skin. Clean-up is very easy also. It still takes me a couple of minutes to prepare the bedpan for the next use...but it's worth it. I don't suggest leaving the bedpan without a bag in it until it needs to be used, accidents can happen that way. A 13 gallon garbage bag and an absorbant pad on the bottom of this great product and you've got a friend for you and your loved one.

Disappointment
It is very hard to get the patient on this type of bed pan. The wings on top are too wide.

Bulky and hard to place
This bedpan was uncomfortable to use. Very hard to try and get under the patient. It may be better used by thin patients. When I contacted the seller they were excellent to deal with

The comfort Bed pan
Barring the manouvering that has to be undertaken to get the user who has been bedridden for quite sometime now to make use of it, it saves the carer from constant lifting onto and from the normal commode of the invalid. it is ok.

Toilet seat
I was never able to use this because its too hard. The idea was great. The size and the look as if a real toilet. However, it doesn't bend. Patient was very uncomfortable and refused to use it.It may work for you, being a more mobile person who can help move atop the seat. The less mobility, the harder it will be to use this product. Looks great, packaged great, and arrives quickly.

Great item for those that are bed-ridden.
I bought this for my father who is bed-ridden. The one we had was hard and had sharp edges. My dad has very little fat and was uncomfortable sitting on the bedpan. I came upon this one and looking at it decided to buy it because it was smooth and larger. I want to say, my dad loved it. It is very sturdy and made well. It has smooth edges making it comfortable to sit on for long periods. It even has a great video on how to properly get the patient on and off. Great for those patients who are not mobile at all. My mom can place him on the bedpan by herself. Great purchase that I highly recommend.

First improvement in bedpans in . . . 100 years?
The product is great. Broad flat top good for sitting a while in the wheelchair - comfortable. Glad they had the liner procedure on video. I tried kitchen trash bags in place of the special bedpan liners. They are a perfect fit, and I never have to clean the bedpan. I am a registered nurse and have tried many different bedpans. I even used to have a collection of antique bedpans (I know, I'm weird), so I could be called an "expert" witness? Just be sure to watch the educational videos before you order.
