Corn, White, STOWELL'S Evergreen, Heirloom, 100 Seeds, Delicious N Sweet

I liked the seeds .only problem is they send ya like 10seeeds

I had success with this heirloom variety of sweet corn. I want to save seeds, because that is what I do, and in doing so this eliminates growing super-sweet hybrid varieties. I knew with my first bite that I was not eating a super-sweet variety, (that is, corn so sweet it can be eaten raw), but I realized that any fresh-from-the-garden sweet corn cooked to perfection never fails to satisfy. I took some ears to my parents and they commented how good it tasted. Still, I wonder why anyone would opt for heirloom varieties of sweet corn if they are not saving seeds from year to year? My opinion is that sweet corn is different than say tomatoes; where tomato hybrids are not as tasty as heirloom, but super-sweet corn only comes from hybrids (I think?), like seedless watermelon; expensive hybrid seed, but probably worth it. Just saying, if you want super-sweet corn do not get an heirloom variety.The ears are average size, most filled out fully, which of course is a function of proper fertilization of the silk; dependent on crop density and weather. Germination was at least 75%. For those reviews where nothing grew, I feel your pain, I had bought a package of seed of a different variety and vendor and I was disappointed that there were very few seeds in the pack and germination less than 50%. I had to dig up that corn and planted this product just before it was too late in the season to plant. I always allow for germination issues by sowing extra seeds in a nearby spot (to save space, these seeds are spaced very close together) and transplanting those plants that emerge into any bare spots in my original patch in order to ensure I get 100% fill in my plot of the same age plants to optimize ear fertilization and stalk separation of 12 inches. I did not fertilize and my garden has some tree cover that does not allow optimum sunlight for corn.

I grow this corn every year I have had a garden its the best tasting corn. I never have problems with growing even if it didn't get water for a few days. very hardy.

Wish I hadn't change from my regular corn, that always grew every year please don't waste hard work.

I ordered the seed but I have not planted it yet..it looks good and healthy so I hope for a good crop

The entire field did not produce corn, large tall stocks and not a single corn.

We have very tall corn but not a single ear! So disappointed
