I saw this book and just had to buy it. I love my daughters so much. I also love my son, so I looked for a "son" book, but there was none, but now I will look on Amazon; I'd love to read the "son" book as well.This book is a collection of poems, thoughts, etc about daughters by various authors. These poems put into words the things that I have been trying to say or wanted to say. They really hit home! I think most all good mothers feel pretty much the same way about their daughters. They love them infinitely; they grow up too fast; they encourage them abundantly; they are so proud of them.I love my daughters so much, there are no words to express it. I also love my son the same way.I am so lucky to have 3 daughters, and also 1 granddaughter so far. I loved dressing them in matching dresses, bows, and booties. I used all colors, but pink is my favorite, so I got pinked out. Therefore, when my granddaughter came along, I bought her a yellow dress because I had my fill of pink. (I still love pink, I just try to expand to other colors.)This is a good book to read if you enjoy this type of book. I know that it is not for everybody. It encourages daughters to reach for their dreams, encourages them, lets them know how much they are loved and appreciated, how proud we are of them, etc.If you're like me, you will find yourself in these poems (as the mother bragging about the daughter).I love my 3 daughters.

The poems are very nice... However, the book was previously used and had a note written in it . I knew it was used , but it said good condition. There was no mention of the writing ! I can not pass it down to my daughter .

I gave this book to my adult daughter at Christmas and she LOVED IT. I feel the book was written for me, as it mentions so many things that I omitted. Thank you for having the book available.
