We purchased this slicers after another previous purchase that did not work well. The round metal part that scrapes out the avocado is amazingly thin which is a huge plus. Our other was plastic and too thick so it just bruised the avocado as you removed it. This metal removes the flesh effortlessly. I have not used the smaller side for the pit removal as I usually use a knife and chop it once down the middle and turn like a screw to remove. Hit the pit on the edge of the trash can and off it flies. Works like a charm. I would buy this again or purchase as a gift. Very sturdy, washes well and easy to use

This tool helps cut avocados much easier than a knife. Avocados can be slippery and it sometimes the tool gets stuck half way so it can be annoying. Not a bad tool and helpful but also not the most amazing thing I’ve ever used.

First, how do you get the pit out?Use the green scoop. It works perfectly.How do you successfully release the slices?Set the blades at an angle and glide them from the big to the little end.If you skim them, all comes free and, for me , plops into my salad or already prepared buttered toast—there soon to be joined by tomato and bacon.Any goodies left in the avocado, scrap gently out and pinch onto fingers for an al dent treat.

I loved the idea of this but a couple of things that bother me about it: when you are scraping the avocado away from the peel with the metal edge, it cuts into the peel quite often, so you either end up with avocado and peel or leaving a bunch of avocado inside the peel shell. After three or 4 washes, the slicing end came off the handle. I think I should have tried the plastic ones instead.

I'm not into specific use gadgets, but this little tool is a must have for avocado fans. just makes it so easy to slice up and serve. bought this one to replace the broken one i got as a gift.

This is a great tool to have in cutting up avacados. This slicer works better because the blades are not plastic. It makes slicing up avacado a breeze. A must have if you eat a lot of avacados!

One of my favorite kitchen accessories. It is sturdy. The job of slicing an avocado for salad is so much simpler with this tool. Only suggestion is to put it with the slicer side down in the dishwasher so water doesn't get trapped. The green part should be up since water cannot get into that area. Otherwise fantastic buy!
