Haven’t had a chance to take it out on the trail yet but install was easy and it looks great. Looks like it will hold up well and be a great storage place for a Jerry can and high Jack.

This thing is AMAXING!!! it makes mounting all my gear so easy, and compared to how i had my jurry can mounted before. its 3 times as fast taking it off to get my spare off! Plus this thing is rock solid and heavy duty.

Pretty neat little rack, probably a bit overpriced for what it is especially since the bottom two straps as it comes aren't very secure but I adapted it to work for me, holds a Jerry can holder very nicely, great for a non-jeep setup (4Runner, FJ, Xterra, etc.) But if I had a Wrangler I would have gone with a different style, but is very secure and looks good IMO will get a good field review in Moab next week.

Awesome rack. Added two of the Jerry cab holders to mine and carry 10 gallons of fuel when and where I need to. Easy install. Easy to remove when not in use.

Looks great, but HEAVY! I was uncomfortable putting that much weight on an already stressed set of gate hinges (92 yj). Adding accessories to this may have been too much. Returned. Also, be forewarned if you have the third tire mount brake light you will need to remove.

Was racking my brain for a clean way to mount fuel and I didnt want it on my roof. This is a brilliant offering from Smitty built. The finish matches perfectly to my Smittybilt and Body Armor bumpers and the strap attchments fit the Fj perfectly. (Some products do not because of the tire support lobe that jeeps dont have) It took a little bit to get it adjusted but I like the qd pin to be able to access the tire when needed. I have my hi lift on the roof rack but this can fit two cans a jack and a can or a can and shovel/axe combo. Great flexibility awesome price and another great Smittybilt product purchased and shipped lightning fast through Amazon Prime. Recommend to any off road enthusiasts who need more mounting options.

Bought this product used, cost was a lot cheaper but product still looks brand new. Win win! 😎 It's a great way to mount more items without much extra cost.

Still waiting on refund!!!Didn’t come as pictured, bottom doesn’t have clips, have to run the straps through loops multiple times. Does not sit well on rear tire and shakes a lot.

Purchased this be able to carry extra fuel for extended back country trips.Pros: it is great for attaching a full size jerry can with space to add a smaller 5 litre rotopax type fuel container for diesel heater fuel, and even a 5lb propane tank mount.Cons: It is heavy, and ways just as much a full 20 litre gas can on its own. It is awkward to mount. I changed the ratchet as the one on it is too long and flimsy.Make sure you have a heavy duty tire carrier.Overall, I like the idea to make use of the spare tire as an extra storage space for the items you don’t want to store inside the vehicle.

The pics of this product is not what I received. i couldnt even find pics on the one i got. It straps to the tire like this one but I had to snake straps in and out of four slots. I had to cut the straps for it to make it back to the first one. It must be the first version but its not what I thought I was getting. Beware they might be sending out old versions first. Either it was the product and they used a pic of the newer version, but very misleading
