Great Value! - Never Failed! - High Recommendation
I purchased several of these for a recent trip to Europe and Africa. All the adapters were from the same manufacturer and every one of them worked well every time I used it. If you are looking for information on what kind of adapter you will need for your electronics or whatever else you might plug in, here it is very simply: 1) This is simply an adapter, much like the one you might use at home to convert a three prong plug into a two prong one for an older outlet. It DOES NOT convert the power supply in any way! 2) To determine if you can use this adapter for your computer, phone, whatever, look at the back of your device's charging plug or power supply and look for the label with all the small print electrical information on it. Somewhere on the label, near the top, you will see the word "INPUT" with some numbers following it, usually (hopefully) "100-240v." If it DOES have those numbers (100-240v, sometimes 100-250v) you can use this adapter almost anywhere around the world without any problems because your power supply can handle any voltage within the range of 100 and 240 volts and if there is a place in the world outside that range, I don't know where it is. Your device's power source is handling the conversions you need to safely operate your device so all you need is this adapter so it will fit in the local outlet. 3) On some devices, especially older ones and things like curling irons and hair dryers, that "INPUT" area will only have one number, probably "110v." That devise will not convert correctly and you will immediately with nasty smells burn out whatever you try to plug in when the massive 240v power surges through your unprepared device. I wouldn't even bother taking stuff like that overseas. The price was very low and considering how I had no problems with any of them, I would rate them as an excellent value. Since the price is so low, I would recommend purchasing two so you have one as a back-up or for the occasional travel companion who, inevitably, doesn't even think about stuff like this.

It worked
I ordered this Orei adapter from Amazon for a vacation in Italy. It worked perfectly, even with several items attached. It never came unplugged from the weight (see below). I used it with a grounded US plug, but of course it would work with ungrounded. It also had ports to take other types of plugs. I stayed in four hotels, from ultra-high tech facilities to a pretty old one, and had no issues with the plug. Since we carried three cameras, two iPhones and an iPhone battery case (and considered taking a laptop,) and anticipated some hotels might not have many wall plugs or secure voltage, I also took a Belkin BST300 SurgePlus direct plug surge protector (the 10 watt version, NOT the 5 watt,) with three standard US plug ports and two USB ports. At each hotel I plugged the Orei Grounded Universal plug into an Italian outlet, plugged the Belkin into the Orei, and had five ports available off one wall plug. To be sure of having flexibility of location, I also took a standard extension cord, but never needed it. A standard extension cord surge protector would work as well as the Belkin for standard plugs, but the added convenience of the dedicated USB ports was a major convenience, allowing me to charge up to five USB items at once (three was the most I ever needed)- with no noticeable loss of power - using a combination of direct USB plugs and the standard USB adapters that come with some USB products, such as iPhone. The Orei adapter was always able to stay firmly plugged in despite the added weight of the Belkin and several plugs. Considering the low price ($6), convenient size and the performance of the item, how could I complain?

Nice adapter. Know what you need - adapter/converter.
We used this adapter in Bologna and Florence and it worked fine. It is only an adapter, not a converter, so be sure of what you need. US has 110-120 volts and Italy has 220. (You can google to find out about other countries.) Fortunately, Apple products, Kindles, most phones and some other small appliances do NOT need a converter, as they accept a range of voltages, so this will do it. Either an small sticker on your appliance or the instructions will tell you how much juice it can handle. I considered a converter/adapter which are bigger, heavier and more expensive, but realized we didn't need it for our items. Very nice that this model has TWO sockets which is good when you have an IPOD and a phone. This little adapter is small, light but sturdy, fit well and did the job for our phones and IPODs.

A nice compact adapter
I got this for our trip to Italy hoping that we could use it in all our hotels and we were not disappointed. All of them, including the older ones, have the newer 3 prong outlets so this fit perfectly. I also got a portable power strip that I plugged into this to allow us to charge 3-4 different devices at once. We had no problems charging our cell phones, DSLR camera batteries and tablet anywhere in Italy using this adapter. Its compact size made it easy to carry in my backpack without being obtrusive or bulky. As a backup I also got a 2 prong adapter just in case. It was not necessary but it came in handy when we all needed to charge our devices overnight. If you are trying to power anything made in the past few years then this adapter should fit your needs nicely.

Good choice for an inexpensive AC adapter
I was traveling to Italy, and needed an AC adapter for my iPad. There were so many choices, how to decide? Finally, I decided on this model by OREI. It was a good choice, and it worked flawlessly. It's small - so it takes up virtually no room. It's inexpensive - so it's easy on the budget. I decided on this particular brand because OREI has a number of different adapters and they state very clearly what countries each one will work in - and so I trusted them. I was surprised to find out that you can actually plug in two different devices and charge them at the same time, one on the top (USA two-prong) and one on the back (USA three-prong).

Worked all over Italy
This is it folks !! Yes, I did a lot of research and by far this was the best one. I found that from Verona to Sorrento this three prong worked beautiful in all hotels, the only time you need a two prong is for a low voltage appliances (i,e electric shaver) Also we found that most hotels had plenty of three prong outlets, one in the bathroom and at least minimum two in the bedroom. Just a side note ladies leave your hair dryer at home, plus in my experience the water is soft, so you don't need to bring anything more than shampoo and conditioner.....forget hair gels, mousse etc. a liitle travel size hair spray is plenty. Ok, yes I 'm a female and this was important to me :))))) P.S. I bought two adapters and it was plenty for flat iron, cell phone, camera charger.l

Excellent product in every respect
Just returned from a 10-day trip to 3 different parts of Italy, staying in both very old and very modern housing. The adapter worked extremely well in all locations. In addition, the 2-in-1 feature worked well to allow use of a 2-pronged US plug simultaneously with a 3-pronged one. I would strongly recommend this product both for function and value. NOTE: I see there are reviews for this product claiming a loose fit either for the adapter into the wall socket or the US plug into the adapter; this was definitely not my experience as all fits were nice and tight. Also the construction of the adapter (I used two continuously during my trip) was good and it stood up well to heavy use.

Perfect for travel to Italy
These adapters worked perfectly in old-style power sockets in Italy.
