Fusion Ultra Grip

Went on easy. No issues. Dried clear. Painted over it with fusion stone gray and no issues so far. Though it has only been less than 2 weeks. But worked great and I don’t see it having any issues. Product as described

Well, I wasn't impressed with my first project using ultra grip. It was a laminate corner bookshelf -- I know, what was I thinking!!!!I watched videos and read directions. I was so excited after applying the ultra grip primer to the case. It was about 24 hrs when I got around to the first coat of paint. Did it stick? Not so much. It said use a thin coat of UG to avoid brush marks. After sanding it again, I reapplied and repainted one coat of color block. Better, but not great. I started on the matching shelf unit, taking care to apply the lessons from shelf #1, and it went very well until a flake came off, right in the middle of the top shelf. Grrrrrrr. Deal with it tomoro. And don't by anymore laminate rehab projects.I then used a generous coat of ultra grip on a vinyl dining chair, followed a day later by a coat of color block. Tomorrow I'll paint buttermilk yellow. I think the vinyl is much easier than laminate. And a somewhat heavier coat of UG seems to do the trick. We shall see.Addendum:. Now that I have the hang of getting the right coat, I think this stuff is great. A light or sparingly applied coat is more than a little-more-than-dry-brushed coat. Don't flop it on and you'll be fine. I recommend you use it on something other than laminate for your first try.

Used on metal doors. Seems to help the paint Bond as intended.

This is a step to ensure Fusion paint will adhere and also makes your paint is uniform...the whole Fusion paint line is fabulous!

Love this! Works great and allows me to paint on any glass surface with no problem at all!!

After using Fusion Ultra Grip for a few months now, I have been extremely disappointed in its performance. I have had to sand down all of the pieces I used it on as the paint would just peel off at the the slightest amount of pressure...... Oh sure, the paint stuck like glue to the ultra grip itself, but when dried and cured, the finished paint job (and hence the ultra grip) on each occasion would not stick to the piece of furniture I was trying to refinish, even with prior sanding! I am very disappointed in the complete line of Fusion products, and have taken to using regular latex paint for all my projects........it's half the price and twice as durable.

The product was easy to use. Perfect grip coat!

As with all fusion products it was excellent. 1st time using ultra grip and goes on very easy and goes along long way. La di da interiors were also excellent to deal with.

Product met my expectations. I used the fusion ultra grip & Though Coat for a decoupage project I had seen on u tube. It worked brilliantly.
