NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra,Nourishing Lip Balm

I saw reviews calling this "thick, gloopy, or "no better than basic" balm but that has not been my experience. Far from it.The one I got is smooth and creamy and waaaay better than the "basic" balms I've tried - or, trust me, I wouldn't spend this kind of money on it & I would not have immediately ordered another one after trying it out.The very first application made a noticeable difference - my very parched lips were softer & more moisturized right away, which doesn't happen for me with a lot of lip products. I barely had to use any of this balm. My lips remained soft all day, even after drinking coffee and eating lunch. I didn't need to apply anymore the rest of the day - but I did. Big mistake. LOL. Using it more than needed doesn't add any benefits and will use up the jar faster. After just using this and nothing else, my lips look and feel like I have done an exfoliation & mask. (You can use this with some sugar as a lip scrub but I haven't needed to since I started just using the balm solo.)It's not sticky or greasy. It moisturizes *and* heals while looking invisible. It makes my lips feel just naturally soft & hydrated.even though this might seem pricey, one jar will last & last because it literally only takes the tiniest application to soften and heal my dry lips. (Also, this is even less pricey, per ounce, than the Jack Black I've used in the past.)Overall, I use this one in the morning and then before bed. Since using balm is an automatic habit, I use Embryolisse or my other "basic" balms for that. Usually, I get annoyed if I leave the house without a lip balm (because my lips get dry) but I don't need to reapply this so... For people who don't have a problem with very dry lips, this will make a nice every-now-and-then treatment. The ingredients are pleasing and not cluttered with a lot of chemicals. They are:Cera Alba/Beeswax, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Olus Oil/Vegetable Oil, Lecithin, Behenoxy Dimethicone, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Mel/Honey, Dimethicone, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Rosa Moschata Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tocopherol, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Glyceryl Caprylate, Allantoin, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Propolis Extract, Citric Acid, Limonene, Citral, Linalool, Geraniol [N3103/A].I'm both a lip balm & French pharmacy product junkie lately. I have been looking for the perfect nighttime balm & I found it. (I use an Embryolisse balm during the day but it *is* kind of basic for moisturizing & is not enough for me as a treatment so I won't repurchase it.)I like this so much that the same day I first tried it, I immediately ordered another jar - just in case. BTW: Unlike on the product photo page, the jar I received is a dark amber color with a dark amber-brown lid. If the balm was less effective, I might have thought I got the wrong item. I checked with the seller and it is just a packaging re-design.

I have very very dry lips. I can routinely be talking to someone and have them tell me my lip is bleeding because they have cracked and I am bleeding. I almost gave up on this lip balm. I am heading to Paris in several weeks and I've used a ton of different lip balms from Chapstick to Aesop. Everything works for a short while. Eos was godsend when I first got it, but for me eventually my chronic lip licking gets the better of me. I wanted to see if this was going to be worth buying in Paris before I got there so I had to get it far enough in advance to figure that out. I received this while I was sick so my lips were in even worse condition than is normal. It isn't gritty per se, but the thick texture makes it hard to slide your lips over each other. The first few days I used it both day and night. My lips were getting better but it was hard to tell if it was the inordinate amount of fluid I was consuming and the 15 hours of sleep that I was getting to get over my cold.When my lips were really dry, it really did feel like they were stuck together as one other reviewer mentioned, but that sensation improved as my lips were healing. I stopped using it during the day because normal balm now suffices to get me through the day. I layer this on thick at night and it feels much more slick in the morning probably from body warmth. I stopped getting pieces of skin that I am tempted to chew or pick off my lips. I stopped feeling the need to lick my lips (probably helps just as much as the balm itself). It's been so long since I've had normal lips I didn't realize how awful it had gotten. In short, don't give up on this balm. I really have the world's worse lip habits and this was amazing. I am going to stock up as best as I can in Paris; this gem is supposedly half the price there. These do have an expiration date on them, and I anticipate the jar lasting close to a year given the very small amount that is necessary. Get it, stick to it, and see results.

I was worried about whether this would be worth the price because I have had a lot of problems finding lip balms that do not cause allergic reactions or dry my lips out even more and I've probably thrown out countless tubes and jars of balms that made me even more chapped. I am a matte liquid lipstick lover so I really need something intensely hydrating that I can wear overnight to repair my lips in between wearing drying lipsticks and Nuxe totally does the trick.I love this because the ingredients are all very natural with nothing in it that tingles, contains, alcohol, or contains artificial fragrance so if you have sensitive lips this won't cause any issues. I wear a thick layer of this overnight and sometimes reapply in the morning before I apply my makeup and it always makes my lips feel great and appear very smooth. The feel is like no other lip balm I've tried in that it appears and feels matte but I love that about it.Even if the price seems high I 100% feel as though you get your money's worth. You get a ton of product and you can apply a lot of it at once and it still takes a long time to use up a jar. I tend to go through lip balms really fast and this has lasted longer than anything I've found because it works well enough I don't feel the need to reapply as often and there's a lot of useable product packed into a jar. When I apply a thick layer overnight I often wake up 7 hours later with some of this still on my lips. Most balms dry out much faster and cause me to wake up with sore lips but never this product.I still tend to buy other lip balms in push up tubes to carry around with me during the day since this isn't very travel friendly but for overnight lip care and as a lip treatment at home when you are really dry I don't think anything better exists, especially not if you like wearing liquid lipsticks and need something to counteract the dryness from matte formulas. I manage to get away with wearing matte liquid lipsticks every day using this stuff to repair my lips nightly.

Part of me is so tempted to gatekeep this product but in the spirit of good karma I'll share the info on this product.Firstly I came across this as a fluke. I was staying at my sister's place and she is a full make-up and beauty devotee; she's a beautician by trade and knows her stuff. I had forgotten my lip balm and was getting ready and asked to borrow some of hers. She told me all her stuff was on her vanity and I saw this almost empty pot and used it, thinking it's just some balm and will do til I buy my own later.. hold the phone, just what did I put on my lips?!Instantly my lips felt smooth, nourished and soft. It was almost like I could actually feel it working and the skin on my lips just felt instantly comforted. It has the lightest, natural honey scent that only adds to the luxurious feel. It stayed that way for several hours despite drinking and eating.I myself don't go massively in to makeup but I am a lipbalm fanatic and have tried both cheap lipsyl tubes all the way to Clinique, Liz Arden and everything in-between. I don't over exaggerate when I say this is the best lip balm product I have ever used.It's pricier than say a tin of vaseline or carmex but it definitely lasts and is honestly worth every penny. I've had a cold recently and what with the current change in weather felt my lips getting dry and a bit raw; this works again more or less straight away and within a day my lips felt baby soft again.Trust me you won't regret buying this product, I just pray they never go out of stock!

Le climat montagnard et la vie au grand air abîmant sérieusement mes lèvres, j'ai cherché en urgence un bon soin réparateur des lèvres. J'en avais testé un via le progamme Amazon Vine que j'avais beaucoup aimé mais il n'est plus disponible. C'est alors que je suis tombé sur ce baume Nuxe.Je le connaissais déjà pour l'avoir beaucoup utilisé il y a quelques années et je suis trés satisfait de l'avoir trouvé sur Amazon.Ce baume est doux, suffisamment gras, protège et surtout répare extrêmement vite et bien les lèvres. J'avais la lèvre fendue par le froid, c'était douloureux et mes autres baumes n'y faisaient rien.Le baume Nuxe est vraiment efficace sur ce point.

This stuff is the best. I use it all winter before I go to bed to avoid dry/cracked lips.
