How a yakuza became a househusband!
Once a fierce Yakuza known as “the immortal Dragon”, Tatsu has chosen to walk a different path now—the way of the househusband. He is very meticulous in everything he does, whether it’s meal preparation, laundry, or feeding the cat. He takes each duty very seriously and does the best he can, always eager to learn new ways to improve his performance. The trouble is, people remember him for what he was, or they make assumptions based on his seemingly fierce appearance. On the other hand, his past experiences often guide him through the ins and outs of his current situation. When a shyster salesman with a shoddy product calls on him, he is more than happy to demo the man’s product. One of Tatsu’s former men, Masa, is searching for his boss, wondering where he went. A chance encounter at the grocery store reunites them. Masa wants to know why his former boss quit the Yakuza, so Tatsu invites him to take a walk with him.Tatsu is headed out on urgent business. He doesn’t let a chance encounter with members of a rival gang deter him, not when there is a sale in progress! This is a great opportunity to show these yakuza the way of the househusband!Tatsu’s wife, Miku, is crazy about Crime Catch Poli-cure, and is a huge collector. Tatsu plans to surprise her for her birthday with an addition to her collection. On learning that the chairperson of the Women’s Association is coming to his apartment, Tatsu has to prepare, which includes utilizing the automatic floor cleaner, which brings unexpected results.Watching a young boy for a neighbor leads to unexpected complications for Tatsu. Afterward, he teaches some supposedly tough guys about the way of the househusband. While out shopping with Miku one day, Tatsu is dismayed to learn that people find him intimidating. How to change his image? It’s only the first volume of this series, but I’m already in love with it, and am half way through the second volume and have pre-ordered the third. Tatsu, the former Yakuza, is completely adorable. He wears an apron with a shiba on it! He takes everything he does very seriously, determined to do his best. He and Miku are an awesome couple! This series is funny, sweet, romantic, and endearing. I love the artwork. Kousuke Oono does a fabulous job. The covers featuring Tatsu are priceless!I guess you would call this a slice-of-life manga, as there isn’t one plot line but a series of incidents in Tatsu’s life as a househusband. There is a brief glance into how Tatsu was when he met Miku. I’m hoping to see more in a future volume. I want to see what brought these two together, and was she responsible for him quitting the yakuza way of life.I can’t say enough good things about this series. I am looking forward to reading it for a long time to come!

Great Comic
It's a great comic book. I first read it in the Chinese version then the English. It's just better delivered in the Chinese version than English version I must say. I'm not sure if English reader can feel the humor in the artist drawing, story plot, and the translated English meaning as almost 80% of the original humor is taken away if you read it in the English imo. It's a great comic. If you know how to read Chinese or Japanese, better read them in the Asia versions! The serious but humor sense can really be only sensed in Asian language somehow, it's pretty weird. And the face Ryu is making the whole time the same is normal because that's just how he is. If you're a reader from Asia you'd probably understand this comic book's humor 100% no doubt. It's really funny and cool at the same time. Just wish I could buy the Chinese version from Taiwan but yeah in the US so only have English version available!!

Cute, beautiful art, and hilarious- what more could you ask for?
Hilarious and cute. I really enjoyed this book. I do wish that it was longer but I honestly wish that all manga were as I'm such a fast reader I had both books in this series read in a hour and a half. The art style is great to! That's coming from an illustrator by the way. :)The main character is hilarious and use to be a yakuza boss that is now more interested in taking care of his pet cat and wife, who is a bit of an otaku. They have a really sweet relationship and you can tell that they really love each other, I'm not the romance type but this gave me the warm and fuzzies which never happens. I also love how much he freaks out everyone around him even when he honestly is just trying to a respectable normal nice house husband.

Yakuza Meets Slice of Life
So, I should say the Yakuza games series is one of my favorite franchises. So take Kazuma, and do what everyone likes doing anyways and smash him into a domesticated life style. The combo is hilarious. The soul of a truly gentle man, with the language base of a Yakuza. The story itself is nothing more then gags of him trying to do normal housewife stereotypes and "Yakuzafying" them. I think my favorite antic is when he wants to get a sale item and he's being attacked by some thugs, but sale! Sale! It's cute, and I recommend it to anyone looking for something light and easy. There is no over arching plot to be warned though. Just a lot of cute.

Great and funny story
The condition was perfect. And the story is good, funny and all. To be honest, I expected it to have more depth but giving it is a comedy manga that’s all right I guess. Nevertheless, enjoyed reading the 1st volume. Still have 2 chapters to finish it, and I’m planning on reading it tonight. I’ll order the next 2 volumes soon too. It’s a funny story, works so well as a somehow good way of distraction from other more “intense” stories and manga I’m reading recently and even real life stuff that’s been going on lately.

Amazing manga
This has been one of the main manga I’ve been looking forward to reading and it didn’t disappoint, it’s really enjoyable and I highly recommend you give it a try. Unlike some manga it came completely undamaged which is nice because I do like to collect manga and like them to be in as good condition as possible.

Hilarious manga
This manga is hilarious, I already got the second volume and I think I’ll get all of them while I wait for the rest of the anime episodes to be released. The only differences between this and Japanese printed manga are the size (these are bigger) and the paper stains your fingers black which Japanese language manga don’t. I highly recommend this manga if you want to read something light and funny without a complicated story and tons of characters.

fofinho, aconchegante e hilário!
"the way of the househusband" é uma obra MT boa, e com certeza será (ou já é) uma das minhas coleções favoritas. um mangá que conta a vida de um antigo membro da yakuza (que ainda acaba envolvido com algo da mesma ao longo dos acontecimentos) que acaba seguindo sua vida como dono de casa. pra você que curte comédia, e, bom, yakuzas que se tornam donos de casa, com certeza irá amar esse mangá <3.
