Senz° - Umbrella

Superb and long lasting, even in VERY high winds.
Superb product, I owned one of the previous designs from Senz and it has lasted two years. To be clear where I work it requires me to walk through a wind tunnel and being on the coast that wind tunnel gets to insane proportions at times. Before I bought the first product I often went through multiple decent umbrellas. The Senz umbrella lasted two years and even now is in a good enough state to be kept as a spare. This new design is not as ergonomic in the hand as the old umbrella in my opinion but even so it has also withstood the rigours thrown at it. It keeps me dry when other umbrellas left me wet, what more can I say than that!

Good in a storm, but wear waterproof trousers
I got the XXL Black senzIt's good in a storm, doesn't budge in the wind but for regular heavy rain you're better off with a golf umbrella.I found my totes big top folding umbrella does a better job when it's not windy. Also this is only suitable for one person, in addition it's heavy, but there are two handles on it and it's built well.I still like it and will continue using it but I recommend waterproof trousers if you are going to get this, it doesn't shield your legs at all really.

Stands up to the Highlands weather no problem!
Living in the Highlands of Scotland it does get very windy. I bought this umbrella for my Son (3 storm proof umbrellas I purchased before this one could not take the Highlands weather) My Son says this looks cool and has stood up to everything that the Highland weather has 'thrown' at it! I can highly recommend it!

Bit of a faff but a good umbrella
Very good quality and seems to cope fine with the wind. Water runs off it very well. What's irritating is that when its drying the lopsided shape is a pain to carry and I end up having to put the Velcro straps on otherwise my hand gets soaked. As a result you can't walk with it and dry it at the same time. It also can soak you when you're folding it.So a bit of a faff but I'm happy with it.

The best umbrella
It certainlylooks different but quality is superb and I suspect it will last a lifetime.

I use it regularly
I walk to the bus stop twice a day for about an hour total walking. It has been an exceptionally wet and stormy season. This umbrella is awesome. I would not call it XL... Personally I think it is the perfect size for one person. It doesn't compact down very small but I feel the sturdiness and reliability make the size well worth it.

Love it
The different design takes a little getting used to (with the idea that you hold it loosely in your hand to allow for the wind to change its direction and prevent from being flipped), but it is an ultra-light and super-useful umbrella.

After buying cheap umbrellas rendered useless many, many times
Daily Burb to Downtown Chicago commuter here.Even though the Windy City originally got its name from political blowharding, it's becoming less and less unusual for 20-30 mph winds with gusts to 40-50 mph racing through the straight wind tunnels of high buildings and straight roads. Needless to say Chicago loves to devour umbrellas, and of course no one carries backups. After buying cheap umbrellas rendered useless many, many times, I decided to splurge and get something I hope will survive. Compared this one to the regular one since this one was sparse on reviews/pics relatively. I opted for the XXL since i'm a 6' guy with somewhat broad shoulders, and i like having an umbrella that can theoretically handle two people. It has now weathered a few gales now, and so far so good!Pros:Still gives to the wind, but much easier to control with its kite-like shape as to the radial parachute of most umbrellas. The swept back end slims the profile making it easier to navigate crowded sidewalks filled with other wide umbrellas. Though the occasional collision does still occur, but much less frequently. If you carry a backpack the extra length is nice to make sure everything stays dry. It can hold two people under it shoulder to shoulder, but the outlying shoulders may get a bit damp. If you have a three people to shelter I've found it handy to swing the back over whichever side the extra person is on. It's also quite a head turner, you'll definitely get a few looks. My overactive imagination likens the styling to an umbrella version of the Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk. (pics attached)Cons:The opening mechanism still leaves me flustered sometimes, but overall pretty interesting design. It's not exactly "Pure" black either. Definitely not as black as the product image displays. It's black, but not portal into the void black. The only improvements I'd ask for are a more intuitive/snappier opening, and a loop/hole on the handle so it could be hung to dry
