three year olds do this toy very well, 2 year olds have problems with keeping a fist.
My husband drilled a small hole in the handle so the three pieces could be strung on a short piece of twine and kept for use after the visitors went back home. Several whirly gig items were lost on the roof of the room but a small wing saved the tears for another day.l

My kitties love this, they bat at them , catch them, retrieve them and generally tire themselves out by chasing them. This is an inexpensive toy that gives lots of fun.
