Blis-Sox Blister Prevention Socks

Work like a dream!
These kind of feel like your walking on jelly at first but trust the process! They don’t slip at all and are very comfortable. I bought these to wear with my doc martens and they no longer rub. They stretch, are just the right thickness and don’t make your feet sweat so they’re not too warm. They look fine on as you can’t see them in my boots anyway!

Wish I had discovered these sooner!
Wow - these are absolutely amazing! I purchased these in desperation after spending a small fortune on some designer wellies and they rubbed causing blisters on their first outing! These blister socks are very wearable, protect and prevent blisters and have made my unwearable footwear now wearable again. They are also thin enough wear with shoes and trainers and have washed well - would highly recommend!

Worked for blisters but hem can be uncomfortable
I bought some new wellies for lockdown muddy walks and after the first 4 miler, my heels were blistered and sore. I've done twolonger walks since with the Blis-Sox and they have worked very well on the blister front - exactly as promised, no blisters, and my heel felt very secure. Also showing no early signs of wear like other reviews have mentioned. My only complaint is the hems are quite chunky and they press into the arch of each foot. This could be due to wearing them in wellies which are less flexible than other shoes perhaps. I've tried wearing the socks upside down (the lettered hem isn't quite as thick) which helped a bit, but the pressure is still noticeable and after a few miles it can be quite uncomfortable.Would be good to have a seamless/hemless version if that was possible, even if it was just at the foot end. Or even a full sock would be better.Might try their patches next!

Great for breaking in boots!
Got these for my daughter for her new and notoriously hard to break in Dr Marten boots. They worked like a dream! No blisters or discomfort at all from any of the 3 different styles of boots she has started to break in. They barely add any thickness under her socks so the boots still fit the same with these on as they do without. The only thing she mentioned was a bit of discomfort from where the blister sock sits around the outer side of her foot, but more being aware of the slight pressure than any issues with rubbing or anything. She has wide feet, so this may not be an issue for those with slimmer feet.

Only thing that worked!
Having tried everything to prevent blisters on long multi-day hikes I tried these. Absolutely brilliant - first time in years I haven’t had blisters on my heels when hiking. They work perfectly. I have noticed some peeling and cracking of the gel layer already after three full day’s wear so they may not last very long but in my case I’d spend the money to replace as haven’t found anything else that worked.

Prevented blisters but cracked after one use
I used these on a hike and they did work well - no issues with blisters on my heel. After the hike I took them off to find the gel has cracked under my heel on both socks. I’m really sad because for the price I was expecting something that wouldn’t break on the first use. I’m not sure if the ones that I got were faulty or this is a design fault. I feel that these shouldn’t be marketed for walking/hiking and more toward very light occasional use.In summary, they did prevent blisters but really disappointed with the quality. Probably only get one or two uses out of them if you are using them for walking/hiking.

Not for me, created other problems
Bought to alleviate a very painful pressure point on the back of the ankle, from new boots digging in after having unintentionally worn too thin a sock. Sadly, these socks only exacerbated the problem, increasing the pressure in that area, and making walking very painful. Once I'd taken them off 6km in to my 22km walk, I was comfortable. The Compeed I was wearing and a slightly looser lacing was all I needed. The front hem of the sock on the other foot was starting to create a sore patch. The gel also had an unpleasant slimy feel as I put my heel down, made my feet rather hot and sweaty (not usually a problem for me), and had a slightly unnerving, and, I imagine, potentially hazardous effect of sliding my foot off to one side, thus altering my balance in the stride. I am not impressed. My tips for avoiding new boot rubbing and blisters:1. Get your feet properly measured and the right boot size and width fitted from a professional shop such as Whalley Warm and Dry, and follow all their advice on boot care and lacing.2. Break them in first by wearing them around the house a lot, then doing short walks.3. If you do get a blister, use a Compeed and try to pad either side of it, rather than directly on top, to stop further pressure.4. Play around with the best lacing for your problem, (looser? tighter?) and make sure you wear thick socks!

Comfy and stays in place!
I bought this product to wear with steel toe cap boots for work after having horrific blisters. I had compeed over the blisters then the bliss socks on top. They are so comfy and have prevented me getting blisters. Very good value for money and I will be purchasing another set. They do slip down but that’s after me running 5k in them. They stay in place when walking around doing day to day things.
