Anchor Hocking Heavy Base 15-oz Highball Drinking Glasses, Set of 12

Purchased 3 different sizes, simple design goes well with many decor styles; modern. traditional , farm house. A lot of glassware is thin with a heavy base causing the glassware to be top heavy in the dishwasher, leading to broken glass. This glassware is thicker and is more durable. Glass is clear without any tint. Easy to hold and drink from.

Up-Date,I have now had these Glasses for almost 8 months..I have to say one glass hit the side of my granite counter, and fell , and broke.Other then that, Not one other glass has broke,or chipped..I have bought 12 for one of my Grandkids. They love them, and they have not broke also.I love these glasses, and they still look like brand new, and I use them everyday.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I have not found a problem with these glasses , as some others have!Although I have not had them for long.I put them in the dishwasher, and they came out looking fine.Before I start my dishwasher, I turn my hot water on, so the hot water goes right in, Nothing cracked or broken.I also like that there not as wide as my other everyday glasses I have, so I can fit more of these in my dishwasher on the top rack. There modern looking straight from top to bottom, and heavier at the bottom. They do not tip over. There a clear glass.$21.00 including shipping for 12 Anchor Hocking glasses made in the USA is a great deal. I see other sellers are charging more money..Some people took off stars cause there was bar codes stickers on the bottom of each glass!! No big deal. It does not take away the quality from these glasses.After you peel off the stickers, use a little Alcohol on a cotton ball, and it takes off any residue , there is no problem..Its only a one time thing,It seemed that people that bought these glasses a few years ago, had a problem with the way they where package, and got broken glasses! Mine came packaged VERY Good. No broken glasses..If these start to crack or break in my dishwasher, I will be back to give a update.

After dealing with a hodgepodge of plastic cups, Ikea highballs, and hand-me-down glasses, I donated all of them and bought a case of these. No curved bottom to hold water in after being ran through the dishwasher, great capacity for less necessary refills, and attractive transparency that makes anything from a glass of water to a glass of Coke look savory.Edit 01/10/2023:Every one of these glasses broke. Too many clanks in the dishwasher and being left in the sink and they all cracked, chipped, and broke within a few years. They endured a fair amount of disrespect! But still, they broke quite quickly I thought.I have since upgraded and bought a case of Libbey duratuff restaurant glasses. I highly recommend those. Much thicker. (Style: 15141)

I really liked these glasses. These glasses are fairly well made. They do not collect standing water after the cycles of the dishwasher (love that!) They are built with a deep and solid base to stay upright with no indication of any easy tipping. The glass is pretty thin, though so watch the vigorous stirring with a spoon. The first set I received, I noticed, had hairline fractures in nearly each of their thick bases. I wasn't sure if that was characteristic of these glasses intentionally so I "asked the Amazon community". All agreed to send them back. So I did. I ordered replacements and excitedly opened the new box...only to find just as many with the same type of cracks. I considered keeping them anyway but I did not want to face the music with my finicky mother if they started to leak or break completely. So I returned these, too.Too bad. they are comfortable to hold while drinking and not too big around for the placing in my cupboards four deep. The Red series that I replaced these with fit only 3 1/2 deep.

These are exceptional glasses. Their size is just right for meals, they are compact, fitting nicely in the dishwasher and cabinet. The have a good "heft" or feel to them. They have a heavy flat bottom so the cats can't tip them over easily!

Glass breaks, no doubt about it, so if you're only used to plastic or paper, you're probably unfamiliar with how to handle glass correctly. And I'm thinking you'd have to nearly melt the glass to get it to warp like plastic, so those reviews sound like nonsense to me. If you let them clang around inside dishwasher, they'll break that way too. I wash by hand and the 16oz. ones are too deep to get sponge to bottom, so bottle brush needed for handwashing. I'd prefer an 8-12 ounce glass to 16 for everyday use. 16 bigger than I normally use, and the 4 ounce ones require too many refills... but I like these heavy base glasses from Anchor Hocking a lot.

These glasses are nice when you have kids because there so cheap it doesn’t matter how many they drop you can just buy more.The quality is decent but they do scratch fairly easy and break when bumped or dropped.

These are great quality glasses. Glass is smooth with very little imperfections. Study not thin glass. Weighted nice too.

Ordered the night of the 3rd arrived on the 5th. Very pleased with the fast shipping and I ordered free Standard. :)Glasses have a good heft, look nice and all arrived intact.They're neither very heavy nor paper thing. They'll look great in the home bar. I wouldn't think these are ideal for bang around kitchen glasses and I'd set them aside to wash separately by hand as they aren't as heavy or thick as some might think (or use your dishwasher) but certainly are attractive for guests and making drinks especially for the price.They've only just arrived and I've taken them from the box but very pleased.

I was very impressed with the look and feel of these glasses. For the cost, I expected them to be a little ‘cheaper’ looking, and feeling. They are well worth the money and they look great too!

Muy buenos vasos con bastante capacidad y son muy estéticos, algo frágiles pero nada del otro mundo. Comprare más para completarlo.
