Safe and secure!
These tie downs and the entire torklift system works perfectly to mount our Lance camper in our truck. Easy to install and effective.

Item received as pictured. It will fit my needs to the existing tie down setup for my Lance camper 825 on my Tundra 5.7. Just finished a 4K mile trip. Only used Torklift as front tie down. Required tension was consistent all the time. Now I am ordering another set for the rear tie town to replace the original chrome, spring tie downs which have had it.. Torklift has a strong and durable spring and is ease to install and to adjust. .

Worked ok
Chains were to short for my application. Had to buy longer chains. Carrage bolts were a little short also. After installation no threads were showing past end of nuts. Should be long enough to have 1 to 3 threads showing past end of self locking nuts. Other than that worked just fine.

Works well, but...
One of the turnbuckles stripped its threads and would not loosen, luckily I had a backup aluminum turnbuckle handy. I do have a very heavy camper, but the supplied turnbuckles do seem to be on the "light duty" side.

Very good. Like it very much
Very good. Like it very much. A lot of money for stuff I already had. Just needed the spring collar. But it works very well.

Very Good Product
Does what it is designed for. I am told the modern pickup has an insufficient gauge of metal for attaching your camper to the body. I went with these and they are working quite well. Easy installation. Easy to take out of their square pipes when not being used. I feel they are safe. Priced well at Amazon.

Poorly made product, inconsistent spring rate
These springs and turnbuckles have performed poorly for the following reasons:1. The spring rate seems to be different on the different springs. The spring rate is so far off, in fact, that my Lance 825 camper will consistently slide 0.5" back on one side but not the other because the spring on one side is loose. When tightening the turnbuckles, I'm careful to engage the springs by the recommended ~1/8" - 1/4".2. The springs squeak like a 1980s pickup truck. I turn heads in parking lots because my setup sounds like the RV that Uncle Eddie drives in Lampoon's Christmas.3. The turnbuckles are corroding quickly after 6,000 miles of use in the past 2 months. Some of this was winter driving, but I'd expected them to hold up better than this.At some point, I will replace these with something else, preferably another brand.

tested going over a speed bump (unintensional)
worth the money. took a trip to canada with my camper on the back. I was going trough the boarder at around 30mph and didnt notice there was a speed bump. sure enough the truck flew over it and the camper got lifted and slammed back onto the truck. no aparent damage at all.
