OutsetStainless Steel Cocktail Muddler, 1.25 x 1.25 x 8 inches

My wife & I have only used this muddler a few times. Since some other product reviews mentioned similar products failing after a few dish-washing cycles, I will wait a while before awarding the 5th star. But so far, so good. The product seems to be of high quality, and was shipped quickly.

I use this muddler pretty much on a daily basis after having watched so many cooks on the cooking channels use them. I particularly like to muddle lemon verbena or mint leaves in a tall glass when making a glass of lemonade from the juice of fresh lemons. Unless muddled very well, the herbs added to drinks would stay whole and kind of clog up my throat when swallowed whole. I muddle my herbs into a small, solid mash until they are more-or-less indistinguishable as herbs, and then I scoop them out of the glass and into the garbage. I prefer to simply include a small slice of fruit in the glass or on the edge of the lip of the glass rather than add whole herb leaves to the drink. After using the muddler I simply rinse it well under running water, dry it and return it to the kitchen drawer.P.S. The nylon head helps prevent the item from breaking your glass. At 8. plus a fraction inches in length this is a little too short for any of my lemonade pitchers. I guess one would have to measure their pitchers to find out what length they should get. But if you have a short muddler, you could muddle the herbs or fruits or whatever in a separate glass Pyrex? measuring cup and then add it to the pitcher along with your additional beverage.

A little more expensive than I would have liked, but nicely packaged and a sleek tool.I like the way to "muddled" leaving a symmetric pattern on the mint leaves so I knew it was doing it's job.

It's always nice to find a product you can easily recommend to others. This Muddler is a good value, very well made, and exactly as described. It's about 8 inches long and very sturdy, with a nice aluminum handle and heavy-duty solid hard plastic end for crushing spices, fruit, or whatever. It could have many uses in a kitchen as well as for preparing cocktails. Came nicely packaged and in good condition. I would recommend hand-washing, but it is stated to be dish washer safe. In any case, very easy to hand wash and dry after using. An easy 5 stars and a fair price.

The tip is a pressure fit so water gets inside if place in the dishwasher. I put an o- ring at the joint and expoyed the tip on and problem solved

i love muddling herbs, cucumbers, citrus, etc... just wish the head was a lil' bigger in circumference & if it had a bit more weight to it to help with gravity.

It's a muddler so there isn't much to say other than it's a really nice looking, contemporary one. The rubber bottom is very dense so it does a great job of crushing up oranges, cherries, etc. Very easy to clean and based on the construction, it should last a very long time. I really like that it's a heavy muddler so you don't feel as though you have to overwork with your hand/wrist. Very happy and a great addition to our bar.

This was a housewarming gift for a friend... He said it's the best gift he has ever received!! I was so excited to give him this, 'cause I know he is a caipirinhas' lover!! I wasn't sure about the size, but it is perfect. Sturdy, does the job and has a lifetime warranty. Who can beat that??? (Thanks to my prime account, shipping was only 2 days).If you are not sure about getting this, go for it... you won't regret it!!!

Solid and well made! Used for muddling mint for drinks such as mojitos, but also for muddling fruits for making overnight oats!!! Hard enough but smooth on glassware!!

Too short and prongs don't really do a good job
