My-Cap Works Perfectly, with no loss of that nespresso style.
I was skeptical that this nespresso vertuoline pod reuse cap and lid system would actually work. Happily it works perfectly on any size vertuoline pod. I takes just a little bit of time to ready the pod and the results are every bit as good as the $1.43 each nespresso pods, from Amazon. . The $18.00 cap, lid and a few filters seems a little costly as you hold it in your hand. Yet overall it's a Great product with excellent results.

The more you know!
Though unnecessary, if the silicon cap could grab the lip of the pod it would further the illusion of its importance. After I immediately lost the silicone cap, I discovered that I didn’t need it at all. All you really need are the included coffee filters. All I do now is refill the pod with coffee, lay a filter on top of the pod, and close the mechanism. Believe it or not it works beautifully. You’d think that grounds would get into the coffee cup, but that filter is all that’s needed. Now, I will need to keep contacting the seller for plenty of those little coffee filters, because I have no desire to cut those little things out with scissors!

PEOPLE PROBABLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT RIGHT...
If you want to know how to make it right: sacrifice one of 'original' coffee just to see what's the proper level of 'granularity'... The think is if you grind your coffee too much it WON'T WORK!!! i SPOILED like 4-6 coffees on my own before I DISCOVERED this rule of thumb.. Sure, there is trade off - less ground - less strength, but you grind to much - IT WON'T WORK!!! Also pls. make it even with edge of cup, or slightly less - like 1-2mm below, so when put lid on it it is as even as surface of the table! :).. and then.. u'll see foam, and taste - just like original!! AS a starter, if you don't believe me, get your old 'k-cup' from Keurig, and put into your old Nespresso's cup, so u'll see it works.. Only to discover the 98% of what comes out of Nespresso is dictated by granularity level of used coffee... I have Vitamix coffee grinding, so very generic one, but I know there are much better ones designated simply with this purpose, when you can for instance preset level of grinding - probably 'french press' would be best choice... g. luck!

Great idea, but overpriced
I have raved about the my cap products for years! I have purchased 4 of the disks and a couple thousand filter papers. So I was excited to get the new lid so I could make the pods ahead of time. The lid is a great idea. Thumbs up for that. But the disk is made of the same silicone looking material as the lid and there is no doubt it will tear or wear down super fast. For the price, it is NOT recommended. Sorry My Cap. You get a 5 rating on the capsule cover but a 2 on the silicone disk. Please just sell the cover separately and save us money! You already have our loyalty for a terrific product. This set is way overpriced for the quality.

Do not buy: watery coffee, little or no crema, chemical smell
The cap is easy to use. However, coffee is watery, crema too light. I tried different coffee grains and adding less coffee to the capsule to keep more space, - still results aren't good. I do get sometimes some crema, but much less than original capsules or the reused capsules with foil lids. The coffee ends up tightly pressed and dry with this silicone cap, seems like little water circulation through (which is how Nespresso is supposed to work!), while the capsule with the foil cap is wet. And the silicone also has a strong chemical smell, so I'd not leave this on for a long time, and hence the lid is useless. See pictures comparing this coffee vs the one produced using reused capsule with foil lid (I used slightly different capsules, but the key is lightness of liquid, dryness of coffee after use, and little or no crema). For the price, this is a total rip-off.

Economical way to re-use capsules with your own ground coffee
Being a new user of the Nespresso coffee maker, I didn't realize that this product was simply a way to re-use the Nespresso capsules with your own ground coffee. I was expecting something similar to the Keurig reusable pods. After realizing that you needed to save your old capsules, it became clear that those would not hold up very long to repeated washing. Not a bad product, just not the durability I was looking for. I ended up purchasing the stainless steel capsules. Although they are significantly more expensive, the quality was worth it to me in the end.

Cost Efficient
The cap fits perfectly inside of the cup. You have to use a cup with the aluminum cut out. I tried a metal version of this previously and it didn’t function properly. The silicone has worked for the last month. But I am running out of the mini filters that accompanied it. The purpose of acquiring this item was to avoid the high monthly cost and if the mini filters are inexpensive it achieves its purpose and avoids a high $33 fee for 33 cups. I simply place my coffee of choice in the cup and then insert the filter and silicone cap. Each time you must clean out the cap. That is not a heavy lift from my perspective and worth every penny.

Does an ok job but overpriced...
It does an ok job but for two small pieces of silicone, this product is overpriced. For what they charge you should at least get a set of two or it should include the capsule holder and coffee scoop that is sold separately.

Doesn’t work for me vertuo next
I’ve tried this twice so far with no success, once with filter one time without. I am using with a nespresso vertuo next.I am not sure if I have a faulty one but it seems slightly too large for the pod. It seems to fit fine, until I brew, the machine only brews less than half of what it is supposed to for the capsule size and the top up feature will not work either. Upon removal of the capsule it almost looks like the middle part is raided up higher with the heat. Not really sure how to trouble shoot this, I am watched the mycap videos on how to fill the thing.

Good, but might be damaging the machine
When it works it works, but it takes some practice. I often have a little film of coffee grounds around the rim of my cup. However, in the last month I had to replace my machine for heavy leaking out the top. Once sent a new one, it started happening again but only when I used the silicone cap. So I think potentially reausing capsule bar codes can cause machine malfunction.

Use own coffee
Could be less expensive for price of silicone and packed in 5 units at least

Works with practice
Somewhat time consuming to use and one has to position it just right.
