These strings are great of both acoustic and electric
I have a set of these on my ACOUSTIC archtop (Gretsch New Yorker) and one on my hollowbody electric(Hofner Ignition). These strings are great of both acoustic and electric. On the acoustic, they sound smooth, jazzy, rich, deep, and almost creamy if that makes sense. My only complaint would be that the top B and E strings are semi-bright compare the rich and warm sound of the other strings. Nevertheless are strings blend very well and create an acceptable balance of sound. They have a similar tension to D'addario Chromes which is great for my guitar, but I prefer the sound of these strings one hundred times over the Chromes any day. I've used a slide on these and they work wonderfully. I find that they still produce a loud volume considering they are flat wounds. They are by far my favorite strings for acoustic archtops. On the electric side, they sound fat, mellow, and vintage. On the bridge pick, I can get Blues, Rockabilly, Rock, Surf, Country, and even a little Boogie Woogie. As for the neck pickup, that is when strings get sultry. I can get a so many tones like traditional jazz, jazz-core, swing, bebop, latin-jazz, soft rock, funk, fusion, etc. The strings are fairly easy to bar, they bar like acoustic strings. On thin electric necks a truss rod adjustment may be needed unless your guitar is used to heavy gauges. They may be monel but they pick up as loud as Nickel wrapped Rotos. Now that I have had them on my electric for months I can say that they maintain their volume and tension vary well. All in all a great string at lower price than TI's and much better quality than Chromes. I'm not big on writing reviews, BUT this is product deserved one.

Quite nice
These strings really changed the game for me. I was never really into playing electric -- my only guitar for many years was a mahogany-top acoustic. The tone and tension of these strings really makes the transition smoother. I have these on a Les Paul with 90s and I play mostly on the neck pickup and keep the tone knob somewhere under 5. It sounds sexy as hell. The caveat is that you may run into intonation issues. I have the saddle on the 6th string all the way back and the saddle on the 4th string all the way forward (and flipped) and I can't quite get the intonation as close as I'd like. My guitar has an ABR-1 style bridge and I believe Nashville bridges have a longer throw. I like the strings so much, I might convert to Nashville-style just so I can keep using these strings.

Amazon's Choice was CORRECT
I finger pick and play smooth jazz type music. I’m playing on a GS Mini. Finding the correct Guitar strings has become a weekly quest for me, I have tried dozens. I need flat wound (to stop the squeaks), I need a mellow, not bright sound. Finally I just thought I would go with “Amazon’s Choice” although I had never heard of this brand. At last I have a set of strings that work for me. Not only are the strings great, but now I am really starting to take a closer look at the "Amazon's Choice" selections for anything I buy there. Every time I have selected a product that is so-designated, I come away very pleased. Thank you Amazon.

Poorly made. Not worth it.
Decided to give these a try because I like flatwounds and have never had this kind of issue with them. High E came unraveled at the ball end immediately, and while the rest of them are holding, they feel unusually rough and have a very buzzy tone that I've never heard in a flatwound string before. I can only assume the set I was sent were improperly manufactured.

Why pay more!?!?!?
Great value. I love the sound of flats but have lower end semi and hollow body electric guitars. These sound great on my Epi Sheraton II. I can't justify the higher end strings so these fit the bill.

Flat wound
Put on my 1943 Gibson ES-125!They ‘Ok’, although that B string has that bit of a tinny twang like a cheaper string. They are on the guitar now so I’ll use for a while.I’d not get this brand again though

The best, period
The last thing a traditional jazz guitarist wants is the finger squeak of round-wound strings. So he uses flat-wound for smooth mellow sound. While many manufacturers offer such strings, I find RotoSound's Top Tape to be the best. This set's gauge range (52 42 32 24 16 12) is balanced perfectly, offering fat full sound even on the high notes. And the strings both sound and feel smooth as silk for a long time. These strings are NOT for rock. Don't even think of adding in any effects, beyond perhaps a pinch of reverb. And when you install these heavier-gauge strings, be sure to have your guitar's truss rod and intonation reset correctly. If your pantheon of guitar gods includes Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass and George Benson, RotoSound RS200 Top Tape strings are for you.
