DIGIMON Bandai Original Digivice Virtual Pet Monster - Brick

I had one of these when they first came out, and lost it as many 9 year olds may have. I’ve been on the hunt for a reasonably priced replacement for years but the original versions are crazy expensive. So imagine my shock when I found a brand new one for under $20! I got one for myself and my wife to keep by our desks while working from home. Great little distraction, super nostalgic and the updates are nuts. There are so many little monsters coded in this so I think we’ll have a good tome for a while.

For 20 bucks this is amazing.I have vague memories of borrowing a friends original device as a kid after falling in love with the show. I had never seen this version before as I was only familiar with the device used on the show which was different and was super enthused to see what the original had to offer. It was a bit tough to take care of in school so my friends usually got numemon, I tried to focus and train it a bit but was disappointed when I got numemon again, but to my surprise he turned into monzaemon shortly after.This is one of those toys you think you're never going to see again, unless you pull out the big bucks, and here it is.I got one for me and my girl. My friends and brothers also got one and it's been fun seeing all the different digimon were all getting as well as battling with the rock and dock feature just like back when.There are tons of digimon available as well as secret ones hiding in the new colosseum feature which is a tournament for either one or two digimon for a tag battle.Some notable digimon are missing unfortunately such as gomamon, tentomon, ketamine, togamon but they have most of the notable ones as well as some cool new ones and secret bosses in the colosseum.If you're a fan of digimon or digital pets in general this is an amazing buy for 20.Keep the good stuff coming.

I love my digivice for the price its great quality and definitely cool to play with I'm 24 years old and I will be playing with this on every break at work lmfao

THIS IS NOT THE PEDOMETER DIGIVICE where you shake to progress and battle, THIS IS THE MONSTER RAISNG VPET where you raise monsters. If you want to go back to simpler times when monster-collecting games don't feel like gambling, this is for you. The device is fairly small and can be attached to your ID if you want to take care of it at work with the sounds disabled. There are improvements to this device compared to the orginal vpet like being able to choose different eggs both new and old as opposed to 1 egg, shorter evolution time, raising two monsters simultaneously, DNA/Jogress Evolution, and single player battles. It can still connect with any device with the two metal point connections like the pedometer devices. The monsters here that follows the anime evolution are agumon and gabumon and only unlocked upon connecting to 5 different devices. My partner and I are having fun with them. Hope they release the other Japanese versions as well. The hook though seems to be having stains after a week but that is just being nitpicky and doesn't diminish how awesome and nostalgic this thing is.

I had to return the first unit due to defects, but the second unit worked perfectly.The first was missing two of the options from the menu screen (Status and Feed) as well as the top 2 or 3 rows of pixels. The device's sound did not work either. (Yes, I read the instructions. A & C on main screen toggles sound) Other than these defects, the Digi-OS seemed to work as intended with 'Mons eating, sleeping, pooping like they Digi-do. Minus one star due to defects.The second device arrived and worked perfectly out of the box. I pulled the battery tab and was met with a chip tune fanfare as well as a screen full of pixels.I am very pleased with my purchase. It has all of the features I remember from the original '97 as a kid. It also offers some new functionality in the form of raising dual digimon, choosing your eggs, and increasing difficulty single player (and tag) battles.Amazon accepted my return without any complaints and shipped a replacement immediately. The hardest part of the exchange process was packing up my two freshly digivolved Ultimates and dropping them in the UPS drop box. I'm pretty sure they starved to death. RIP Andromon and Metal Tyranomon.

Yeah, good stuff. I was apprehensive about all of the changes from the original, but the changes are really well thought-out - - appealing, accommodating, and convenient. That said, it would be nice to be able to transfer all tamer data from one device to another (I am kind of stuck using my blue one and would like to use my brick one); it would be nice to have the option to change the tamer name after the fact. Also, I'd personally prefer if the evolution cycles were longer - - but it's understandable why they were shortened. Minor complaints; overall - - AWESOME!

Top !! Encore mieux que la version de notre enfance !! J'en ai également pris un pour ma nièce de 14 ans, elle a adoré !! Le concept d'élever 2 digimons en même temps complexifie un peu le jeu et la multitude d'évolutions possibles renforce notre intérêt pour le jeu ainsi que sa durée de vie.

The feel of nostalgia when I received my 20th anniversary from the courier.At that point I couldn't care less even if the v.pet was DOA, I just wanted to hook it to my keys so I could display it out somehow like a proud 8 year old in 1997.As soon as I pulled the tab out, my instant reaction was "perhaps the battery was about to die" because I could barely see the pixels on the screen.Swapped out to new 2032s and it was still the same.You had to really be under some decent lighting to be able to see the pixels.My 30 year old brain took awhile to process that this was probably how it was back in the 90s and I was so accustomed to good pixels that my brain couldn't compute a 1997 device.I've had it for almost 2 weeks now and for some reason I've never got my digimon past champion stage. Granted, I have not read any guides so I'm possibly doing something wrong.And like a lot of other reviewers here, your digimon grows pretty quickly to rookie. Then it takes about a day to reach champion.I'll probably read some guides and try again but honestly, owning a vpet that looks exactly like what I had before just breathed new life into my otherwise pretty mundane one.

J'avoues avoir craqué pour l'esthétique à l'ancienne de ces versions mais ils sont malheureusement plutôt ennuyeux comparés aux versions X (qui offrent un mode quête, des systèmes d'objets aussi) là, c'est une version anniversaire avec beaucoup de Digimons disponibles mais leur élevage est très ennuyeux. Ok pour la nostalgie mais 40 euros c'est extrêmement cher pour ce que c'est... Remboursement demandé pour celui-ci. Ça ne vaut son prix que pour le grand nombre de Digimon mais c'est à peu près tout.
