At first like everyone else, I didn’t read the instructions and was pressing on the tip of the pen and the color was way too light. After peeling back the tab on the pen and actually reading the directions about shaking pen for 1 minute and gently squeezing the sides of the pen, worked like a charm and is a perfect match for my 2016 CX9. Do a test on a paper plate before applying to your car to get the feel for it. If you mess up, which I did twice, just use a little mineral spirits and start over.

Perfect color match. Covered up my scratches

I mistakenly tried to use the original empty pen that I was sent on the original order instead of the replacement pen when I wrote the earlier review about the replacement pen. The original pen was still empty, thus the error in the review. The replacement pen worked fine. It was what I expected. Since I was aware of how to find the instructions it was not a problem but for someone who is not familiar with the pen, the directions could easily be over look. The vendor who I complained about earlier did what any responsible vendor should do. They replaced the bad product with a good one. My bad. the earlier review was due to my error.

I purchased this to touch up a few small scratches on my Miata. The touch up paint color is much lighter than the car color.

It worked well and the paint matched perfectly.Shake vigorously for a few minutesWhile squeezing the pen's body, depress the metal tip onto a piece of paper you don't care about until paint starts to flow. This might take a little bit so don't get discouraged.Make sure the area you want to touch up is relatively clean.Gently squeeze the pen and depress the metal tip onto the area you're touching up. Use as little paint as possible, you can always add more, but it's tough to take off.

Not the same color as the car but still did the job since I needed for an area of the car that you can't really see.

It matched well and covers the bare paint spot where paint is scratched off. It, of course, can’t do anything about the roughness of the ding , dent, or scratch.
