Fun Read. Unbelievable memoirs.
I liked it for what it was - sensationalism. I can hardly believe at least half of the stuff that was printed in this book. I do know I have a whole different impression of the former first lady. Sure she dressed impeccably and I doubt JFK would have gotten as far as he got without her. That being said I do believe she was a selfish, self-centered, narcissist, gold digger! I know of all the philandering her husband did - constantly humiliating her. If this book is accurate she got her revenge and had her own affairs. I hope this part of the biography was true. Otherwise the only part of the book I truly believed was her complete relationship with Aristotle Onassis. Also like many other biographies on Jackie the booked jumped around a lot and many of the stories being repeated time and again, making it much longer than it needed to ber.

Jackie Ohhhh
Without the benefit of hindsight and research...I'm writing this not knowing through authenticity and reputation of the authors. Enjoyable..fast paced..engrossing. Sometimes reading like a Mills and Boone and 50 Shades of Grey!!! A very personal insight into not just the Lady herself..but ALL the big players. I was sad when I finished the book and wanted another one to read right away! Suprising, touching..you couldn't help but empathise with Jackie at times as her husband roamed and other times thinking "You go girl!".

Intimate look at a fascinating woman
I've always been an admirer of the great style that Jacqueline always had and the class she brought to the White House as First Lady. After reading this book, I know think that she deserved and Oscar for her wonderful performance. "A Life Beyond Her Wildest Dreams" is an amazingly candid look at how the wealthy live, and I don't envy them one bit.Jacqueline grew up with a bitter, domineering, money-hungry mother, and philandering, alcoholic father, and both parents were abusive to Jackie in their own way. How Jackie managed to rise above both them and make something of herself is amazing. Sure she might have looked for love in all the wrong places. She married for money, and she paid for it many times over, but through it all she was a role model for our country when we needed one, and she's still my favorite first lady. The hypocrisy of the upper class is truly stunning. To think that these are the sort of people that we look up to is sad. It's almost as if they feel that they are above the rules that we all have to live by. I'd recommend this book for no other reason than to see that living a middle class life, putting family first, is far better than being rich and famous(and don't even get me started on the reality queens). The writing in this book is compelling, and though the book is long and detail, I couldn't put it down. The only flaw I found was that sometimes an event would be repeated(I think because of the dual authorship), and the timeline jumped around somewhat.Jackie lived large in a world where the stakes were high. I didn't look at her life as immoral, it struck me that that Jackie was just trying to survive, using the skills she was born with to great success. This book made me wonder if Jack Kennedy would have even been elected without marrying her, which is probably why his father Joe, was so anxious for them to marry. Also, Jack had a few male, lifelong, homosexual friends, and was rumored to one himself. Had he not married, those rumors might have eliminated any political career he might have had. Also, Jackie made JFK look like the perfect husband, which he certainly wasn't, and the perfect father, which he might have been. Jackie's great gift was lifting up her husband's image, and giving other women a role model of how to act with class, and especially dignity in times of great loss.A great beach read, though you might get sun-burned reading it because you'll be so engrossed, you'll forget where you are.

This I waited for?
Sorry, with all due respect to the author, this is an awful book. Pre-ordered it as I have always been a great fan of Jackie. This book tells us nothing that we have not already read in other books, tabloids, or seen on TV. It skips from one aspect of her life in the middle of a chapter, to an earlier part with no warning, and that is on numerous occasions. There is no cohesion to this book at all. It is repetitive, and what has been said in a previous chapter, is often repeated way down the line. The punctuation is awful, and who can believe that Mrs. Onassis had all those affairs? Maybe she did, but where are his sources? A lot of this book may be heresay, some maybe true, but where is this information coming from?I think the author went, in my opinion, for sensationalism and nothing more. I didn't like it from page one, but had to take time to finish it to see if my initial opinion of "awful book" was valid. It was. So Jackie fans, don't bother. There are much better books out there!

WILD RIDE
If even half this story is true, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis lived a very full life indeed. I got the impression that the whole cast of characters were sex-mad and lived by a whole different set of mores than the rest of us. It was like entering an alternate universe. The author(s) seem to be particulary obsessed with the male appendage. This is one wild ride. It has lots of errors--particularly dates, which leads one to wonder what else may be incorrect. However, it was a "delicious" read, and not just a rehash of things we already knew. If you are interested in Mrs. Onassis, this book won't disappoint, just be prepared for an X-rated biography full of tidbits on many people who came into Jackie's orbit. The book has many gaps on important people in Jackie's life, and itavoids persons still living at the time it was written--most likely to avoid lawsuits.

Interesting but a bit sleazy
I don't know how much of this is true but if it is then it's an eye opener. Apparently Jackie could say touche to Jack and match him, although she was no sex addict. The book is very tabloid and casually incudes the 'fact' that someone who had been a so called Hollywood heartthrob was in reality gay. There is alot on her relationship with Onassis that is interesting. I took this book with a pinch of salt in parts but I did enjoy reading it and would say to people draw your own conclusions. There may be more truth in it than you think.
