Pairs Pirate Game

Fun and fast.
Fun and quick base game that I would say is similar to blackjack. The simplicity of the rules make it a fantastic starting point for generating house rules to increase the fun for whatever crowd you have at hand. Easily manipulated into a drinking game, if you are so inclined.I recommend increasing the "losing" score amount as the first alteration made to the rules. With an original max of 16 for 4 players, it is not uncommon for a game to last only 2 hands. The pirate art makes is a nice touch, but there are plenty of other sets. Each has an alternate set of rules to go with the different artwork. I also own the Professor Elemental Deck. Oddly enough, we have never played by the special rules for either deck...

What a great, simple little card game
What a great, simple little card game. Each round plays relatively quickly so if you get a bad draw, it's over quickly and you move on to the next round. And a full game usually doesn't take too long either. Rich gameplay with simple mechanics that allow even casual players to eventually pick up strategies that will help them in the long run.Pairs is a game with numerous different types of decks with the only difference being the art on the cards. The art is unnecessary, but helps distinguish cards from each other. Pairs: Pirate is nicely done, fun and amusing imagery that will provide almost no concerns for families (the Faen deck, on the other hand...).Great little game, especially for the price!

Great simple, fast game to play with the family
Great simple, fast game to play with the family. I chose the pirate version for the "cleaner" pictures and the kids and I enjoy playing it.

Pirates for the Pub
Pairs is a fun game no matter what deck you get, but this one has Pirates!

Good for kids (Game play and pictures)
Good for kids (Game play and pictures). The other Pairs games were pretty scary looking for kids...more adult obviously so I got the kids this instead. It's a great game for the kiddos!

Fun. Quick. Simple.
Easy to teach. Surprisingly fun. Plays fast. People can drop in and out of the game between rounds. Need at least 4 people to play, 5-6 was perfect.
