Pentair 516252 White Weir Gate Assembly Replacement Bermuda Gunite and Vinyl Liner Skimmer

I like that this skimmer flap was exactly as described by the seller. I measured the width and height of my skimmer opening from hole to hole and top to bottom at roughly 9" X 6" and this fit perfectly. It should not reach to the top of the opening but rather hit the flap that is hanging down. If you are confused by what type of skimmer you have, it will usually say on the filter basket near your pump. I know that Paddock pools used a lot of Pentair products in the past and that is who built my pool.

The item I received was an original Pentair product. It was easy to install. All I had to do is locate the groves and carefully snap it in. It took less than a minute to install. It is working as designed. I would highly recommend the product.

Found our Pentair / PacFab weir door floating in the pool, the plastic tabs had given out after 15 years of service. Until we lost this weir door, we never knew how much it was contributing to our pool skimmer's effectiveness. First we tried a floating weir we found on Amazon. Seemed like a good idea, but it was a complete waste of money. Next, we tried a generic tension spring-type weir door. The generic door worked really well for ONE day. On day two, we found the generic spring-type door floating in the pool.So, we did what we should have done in the first place. We searched through our pool documentation, found the skimmer user guide with part numbers. Armed with the correct part number, we found the weir on Amazon (Pentair 516252) as a Warehouse Deal for just over $11 with FREE prime shipping.Installing this door was a little tricky, but once we got the tabs into the right position, the fit was solid. The door was installed just over a month ago and so far so good. Skimmer is functioning again as designed.

We have had to replace this piece twice in the past 2 years. The item is exactly as advertised and arrives in Pentair packaging. Fits as promised for the part #. The only hesitation in giving 5 stars is that the last one broke in exactly the same place as the original after only a year or so. (It cracked at the tab that you squeeze for insertion - but while it was in place, not while being squeezed.)

It is a perfect fitment and extremely easy to install. It works as intended.

Perfect replacement!

I have old jacuzzi skimmers and have never been able to find a replacement. This fits! However you have to take an angle grinder and shave off about 1/8 of an inch give or take but it works perfectly once you do that. Don’t shave down the area where it connects into the skimmer. If you install it(before you grind) you can visually see what needs to be done. Ok
