CHPN Exam Secrets Study Guide: Unofficial CHPN Test Review for the Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Examination

I have been studying for months but was surprised to see how much this book covered that I hadn't run into elsewhere including some meds I wasn't familiar with. I like how this book organizes the various topics. I also appreciate how they sum up each topic in one easy to understand paragraph. The 150 question sample test has fresh material. The study strategies will be part of my new regimen up to testing day.I'm very thankful for this book. I do feel that my score will be better because of this book.

I know i will be prepared to take the exam. The highlights features that I found helpful was answering the questions at the end of the book. It was easy to read, and easy to comprehend. There is nothing more that I could add to this book.

The test was harder than I expected and I did not allow enough study time, due to other obligations.Unfortunately, I did not pass the exam and missed it by one question. I felt the study material was helpful and will definitely use it as I prepare to retake it.I would have liked more study practice questions.

I find these items very useful for my studying. The book puts the terms in short concise bullets. I like the flash cards because I can take them with me easier. I have used the practice exam at the back of the book and I enjoy the rationale and explanation of the answers. But I enjoy the products and look at the YouTube site as well. I like the way the flash cards have the areas of focus on them as well. The way the book chapters and flashcards are organized helps me focus on those areas where I am weaker.

Great study aide! Easy to navigate through and find the topic you want to study. I love that the test answers explain why that particular answer is the BEST choice. I recommend this book to anyone preparing to take the CHPN!

This was the worst study guide I have ever used. It is poorly written, unorganized, and not reflective of the actual test material. I took the practice test in the back of the book and got a 73% (fail!). Was discouraged and wondered if I would pass the exam. Well, today I took the exam and passed with an 85! DO NOT waste your money on this. There are MANY resources that would actually help. This is a waste of time and money.

I found this book very helpful and beneficial to me. this is the only book I studied so far and I found it very fascinating. Especially the practice question with explanations answer that tells the logic of the question. I wanna practice more before the exam comes.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I got sucked in by the reviews. The great~SECRETS~ are simply common sense, especially since you've already cleared the big hurdle of your State Board Exam_-in fact I was hoping for a test taking prep similar to the one my school I did for the NCLEX- it was awesome and gave wonderful illustrated examples of testing technique applications. In this book you will find small paragraphs stating the obvious like:Try to eliminate wrong answers to increase your odds of getting the question right (No...REALLY?) . Also the course content is lacking, does not have Pharmacology or case studies. The practice questions are okay but the answers/explanations/rationales are poor and you have to go digging at the back of the book. The HPNA Study guide is more relevant AND the answer is right on the next page so you get instant feedback to understand the question you just read. HPNA study guide is more expensive, but in comparison worth it!!!!
