I purchased these to help keep two zipper pulls together on a cat carrier. From the look, they would take a very firm tug to open. After a trial run, I realized that I would neither trust the life and safety of my pet, or use these as a theft deterrent.They open very, very easily. One gentle tug and they separate. In certain positions, they almost fall open on their own.These simply won’t work for my original plan. I am keeping them because I can find uses for them that don’t entail anti-theft or containing cat Houdinis.I will be back with invented uses for these, and also a video showing why I won’t use them as anti-theft deterrence.

Too big for a jacket pull. More likely for a tent or other larger zipper. Saving for another application. Very sturdy, but the scale is not obvious be the listing.
