Will this fit the handle of a 5150? Or can someone tell me how wide the hook is? Thanks

It should work fine. The hook to the amp handle is adjustable with a nylon strap and buckle. The guitar hanger part is about 3 inches wide and will hold all guitar necks.

Will it be able to handle a PBass?

It handled my Gibson Les Paul Custom which is a fairly heavy guitar so I would think so.
