deluxe standing valet

I bought this wooden stand to replace an old metal stand that broke apart at the poorly welded joints. At first I was worried that the wood won’t be better than my old metal stand, so we quickly kicked it around a bit with laundry duty and straight to the closet and I’m happy to say not bad at all. It stands tall and seems sturdy, especially since I put it together from the included hardware. And to my surprise it fits inside our closet just fine, which helps organize our closet with every piece of our clothes. Fitting in the closet alone made it better than the old metal stand because that metal stand couldn’t fit inside our closet cause the bottom parts were so large, probably to hold up the heavy metal.Worth the price and we’re ordering one for my in laws, since they only like beautiful wood.

Nice piece, blends in with furniture and doesn't take up much space. However one of the holes did not line up well and I had to make adjustments while putting it together. Looks great though.

Our son was delighted with this deluxe standing valet. We particularly like the substantial weight of the base which makes it a sturdy, reliable piece of furniture. Additionally, the solid base (as opposed to just a couple of bars) for holding shoes adds a nice touch. The wood is very nice and would look good in any room. It was relatively easy to assemble; however, one section (attaching the hangar section) was cut incorrectly and took a good deal of maneuvering to set in place. Fortunately my husband was able to adjust the opening and make it work.

I get so sick of tripping of the manchild's clothes

The wood is so soft it should never have been used for this product to hold up clothes. The vertical columns when screwed together in proper alignment, the threaded inserts in bottom sections pulled loose from the too soft wood. The mortise in in one of the "feet" was 1/8" oversize all the way around the column piece allow it to wobble. The bottom screw holes for for the bottom bar were not drilled in the upper column. So, after getting over my disgust, my own pride in craftsmanship kicked in and I took it out to my woodworking shop and fixed it. First I pulled the male & female threaded parts from the columns. next on the miter saw trimmed the ends clean, flat & square. Then re-drilled the holes to accept 1/4" grooved dowels. After putting a column in the oversize mortise I filled the gaps with glue & sawdust. This am it's standing upright and stable in my bedroom. Do I recommend it! What do you think???

the holes are too small... i wrecked 2 allen wrenches trying to get the screws in.. the holes need to be redrilled because they are just too dang tight.. i was disappointed by this because i wanted to put it together and give it as a gift that same day.. instead, i'm still trying to round up supplies and someone to finish the job. sigh! but.. it is exactly what i wanted, sleek, simple, and strong enough to throw jeans on.

So impressed by this for the price. It was pretty easy for my husband to put together and has been working really well. No weird smell (I'm pretty sensitive to stuff like that!)5/5 recommend!!!

We bought this so my son would have a place to hang up his hema gear so it can air out. Hema armor is heavy. This holds it well. It’s sturdy.Son had no trouble putting it together.
