Quiller Palette
It's bigger than I thought! The plastic material stains with some paints but it serves it's purpose well. Will order the porcelain next time. 😊

Five Stars
Excellent product although a little bit flimsy but still a great watercolor paint pan

Large, but light weight plastic
It is larger than I was expecting, which is good, but it is also of light weight plastic. I'm not so sure about the value for the cost.

Perfect For Any Painter
This is so awesome! I am able to pull from so many different colors and this is easy to transport, as well. Great for the beginner or the novice water-colorist. Great product!

Love those wells
Love those wells: They are big for those bigger brushes and so many of them. My Mijellos stains the plastic pretty bad but nothing that a little elbow grease won't fix. I'm scoring this low because the plastic is so thin that the lid on mine cracked the second day of use when I was removing it from the palette. I like the palette but I get so mad every time I go to paint because of that broken lid.

Works well, especially when using the Steve Quiller color wheel palette painting concepts.
Really great product. Works well, especially when using the Steve Quiller color wheel palette painting concepts. Keeps the paints wet overnight, and plenty of area for mixing colors, and doing color neutralizations.

This palette stains badly
The round arrangement of the palette is very useful for remembering what colors are complements, a great help when mixing neutrals and grays. I really wanted to love this palette, especially since once it's loaded it up with almost an entire tube of paint in each well, it represents a considerable financial investment. The biggest problem I had with the Quiller Palette is the plastic it's made of. At first, the paint beaded up on the mixing surface. I scrubbed it a bit to stop the paint from beading. Now the mixing area stains so badly that I can't tell what color I'm mixing. There is a porcelain version of the palette that would most likely solve those issues, but it's pricy and heavy. I've considered putting a small porcelain plate over the mixing area to have a more suitable surface on which to mix colors. The big wells are nice for dipping out color and softly rounded, so they are easy on brushes, even large brushes. However, filling the wells is a commitment to using the selected colors as it is not easy to switch out one color for another. The search continues for a similar round palette but with removable wells, so I can insert the colors I'm using at the moment, rearrange or trade out colors, and experiment with other complements. Finally, I knew this was a large palette, but wasn't really prepared for how much space it takes up. The lid is as large as the palette and is a nice feature to keep the paint clean, but it's so large that when I take it off, I don't really have a good place to put it.Overall, it seemed like a good idea, but in practice, it isn't working as well as I would like. I like the concept of a round palate with complements arranged opposite each other, and tertiary colors clearly marked. That's a great tool for learning to mix colors. It would be a four-star item, but the plastic feels cheap, the edges seem unfinished, and it stains so badly it loses a couple of stars.
