Good replacement for Kirby vacuum. Kind of disappointed that it was not made of metal.

I suppose I shouldn't have been too surprised that the 40 year old Kirby I'd inherited from my parents didn't seem to "sweep" the carpet all that well, but who knew that there was a shelf-life to beater brushes? I can't believe how well this thing cleans now with a new brush. And to be able to get OEM on a 40 year old vacuum is outstanding. (Heck, in today's world you're lucky if you can find replacement parts after 4 or 5 years.) Kudos to Kirby.

Vacuum now works like new - amazing.

time will tell as I dont use it very much. And it looks better than the one I replaced but it will depend on how well the bearings hold up.
