Good Chair
This shower chair is very sturdy, the caster wheels are excellent. Instructions for assembly are not complicated, just require common sense. Oneof the pieces did not quite fit be I forced it as we needed the chair ASAP for an invalid and did not want to wait for a replacement. This chair has been excellent for our needs but it is rather a high seat for a smaller person. Our invalid is about 5'4'' and her feet do not touch the ground. We alsouse this chair as a toilet chair.....we put a long-ish piece of cardboard underneath to rest on the side bars under the armrests. We then put our oldtoilet chair "bowl" under the hole in the seat and rest it on the cardboard. We then just remove both for cleansing the bottom. Also, we have a fairlyhigh "lip" to get into the shower and this chair is sturdy enough and stable enough to enable us to lift it in stages over the lip. The only two slightdownsides are the bar against the back is a little uncomfortable so we always put some sort of pad over it (towel, etc.) and the brakes are slight atbest. The chair will not roll away with the brakes on but the chair does not stay put if it gets knocked a little in trying to put someone on it. Otherwise, I felt it was the best chair option I saw (sturdiness, padding) and I am very pleased with it. It has met our needs very well.

Good, solid, well constucted chair.
This chair ships in a compact box and is easy to put together. It does NOT come with a bucket, which wasn't a problem for me. It is different from the last chair in that the frame slants from the back instead of from the front. Again, not a problem. It does come with heavy duty wheels, which was a problem with the last chair. Seat is fixed, does not raise up. The fabric on the chair, like all show chairs I've ever seen, will not last very long. You will need to be able to sew your own. I would recommend this chair.

Much larger than advertised. Very unstable if you have balance problems getting into it
I hate that they advertise the dimensions incorrectly. I searched diligently trying to find a shower chair that would fit thru the bathroom door. This was a waste of my time.If you have any balance problems please know this chair is so very lightweight that the heavy duty castor locks serve no purpose. The chair pushes away with the slightest nudge with brakes locked. If you need to bear any weight on the arms whatsoever during transit it will tip over. Also this chair has very small openings for assistant to grasp when pushing the chair. The back portion is merely a thin piece of cloth across a bar that digs into your back.Easy to assemble. Padded seat. Really great castors. Unfortunately you cannot lock them when pushed over the toilet because they are mounted on the back of the chair. Most toilets are installed tank to the wall, so I don't understand the thought process here either. The castors are complicated to relocate to the front because a skeleton wrench is needed plus the shafts on the castors into the base of the chair are crimped. It does roll very easily.

Good Tolieting Solution For Someone Wth Mobility Issues
My mother broke her hip and was recently discharged from a skilled nursing facility. She is having some problems standing and walking. This commode chair has really come in handy when having to take her to the bathroom. We wheel her into her bedroom with her wheelchair, transfer her to her bed, get her to stand up and we pull her pants and adult underwear down, transfer her to the commode chair, and roll her into the bathroom. We roll her back to her bedroom after washing her hands, pants and adult underwear down, get her to stand up and we pull her underwear and pants back up, and transfer her to her bed and ultimately to her wheelchair. The reason we do the transfer in her bedroom is because the locking rear wheels work better on carpeting than on a tile floor which is found in most bathrooms. The rear locks are difficult to engage by hand, and work better when stepped on with a shoe. There are no front wheel locks and the chair doesn't stay in place that well on a tile floor which is we do all the work in the bedroom with a carpeted floor and then wheel it into the bathroom to take of business. We found that it is easier to wheel it backwards when transiting to and from the bathroom. This commode seat was easy to assemble, and it took me about 15 minutes to assemble it. All the parts were included, but I did have an issue with one of the nuts which had no threads. I ended up replacing it with a Hillman M6-1.00 nylon locking nut. My mother weighs about 110 pounds and pushing her to and from the bathroom is fairly easy and the chair has held up well with no issues. This commode chair has been very helpful on my mom’s road to rehabilitation. The price of this chair has dropped significantly since I purchased it and is now well under a $100. While this chair is non-returnable, it is a good deal for anyone needing a toileting solution for someone with mobility issues.

Nice Chair, BUT.......
I have bought two of these chairs. I like the sturdiness, the functionality, and the cost is also quite good, but with both chairs the stability of the seat has been an issue. As a result of poor stability, the brackets that clip onto the bars of the chair suffer. The plastic brackets have failed on both chairs splitting in half and one also becoming loose from inside of the cushion. Whatever anchor it has on the inside failed or became loose. It is not a tightening screw issue as the screw is secure tight and there would be no way to access this area other than cutting the waterproof sealed cover off. Let there be no mistake, its not due to patient's weight. My mother is just 130lbs.
