Has startled me a few times and so now I can’t run it with batteries for fear of it turning on and stealing my soul when I sleep. So now it’s just unplugged and I only use the USB cable when playtime needs to be activated. I suppose this can be a feature for some, as it will automatically entertain your furbaby. Maybe I didn’t read this “feature” in the description. By the way, my dog loves this thing too!🐱🐶🐱🐶🐱🐶🐱I don’t read instructions usually. Wasn’t sure if I could power this on by itself or if it needed batteries first. Tried without and wouldn’t turn on. Then popped some rechargeables and plugged it in and it kicked on. Whatever, it works...Miss Kittyfartwigglepants has approved of this product. Ever since she learned of the red dot existence, she’s bugs me consistently. She knows I’m (or any hooman) the source of the infamous red dot and her sole duty, purpose in life if you will, is to eradicate the red dot and save the world. Well this little contraption has brought her the dot and allows me to get some work done.Only time will tell it’s durability/longevity!

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased this product on July 4,2019, for my puppy and she loves it! We first tried to use just batteries for it, but they wouldn’t last long, so we connect it to the plug. On August 10, 2019, they laser stopped working and I was going to order another one, when I read that this one has warranty. So I contacted the seller, and at the same day (it was a Saturday) they contact me back and were willing to send our money back, perhaps I preferred the option of having another one of the same laser since my dog really likes it (and I completely understand that this kind of problem could happen randomly). So the second laser toy we received has been working great so far. The only issues that I have is that I really would like to be able to change the speed of the laser.

Usually he tears all of his toys up within minutes and moves on to something else, but this has kept hhis full attention for 20 whole minutes before he decided to lay down for a rest. If i can get him to play with this for at least 15 minutes every night.. its worth the $20 investment.-as i get ready to end this, my dog has returned to chase the laser. This toy is amazing! He can now chase a laser instead of biting/tearing my belongings out of boredom.I'm pretty confident that this is much better with cats but i'm here to alert all dog owners, go ahead and grab one as our furry friends loves it too.

Got it for my rescued feral, but then our Doxle decided she wanted to chase it too and now it's a war between them over WHO GETS TO CHASE THE EVIL RED DOT OF DOOM. And we two-legged creatures are the casualties.The Doxle wanders off after a minute or two, while the kitten hovers in anticipatory agony under the table waiting for her turn to chase. Then she's as preoccupied with looking out for the Doxle as she is with chasing the dot. Said kitten is now quite paranoid and pees on my coat to punish me for having a dog in the first place. Which, of course, throws the Doxle into a whirlwind of disapproval and causes her to bring our shoes upstairs (we are assuming it's to protect the shoes from the evil pee-filled kitten). Alas, she tends to hide them individually, so we're lucky to find both shoes.Fun and entertaining toy, in other words, but beware if you have more than one animal. War isn't pretty.Removed one star for short power cord (makes it tough to put the unit where the kitten won't knock it over since it needs to be near an outlet).

My kittens love this thing, as do I!I was hoping this would be a great way for them to burn off their energy on the floor of our home. In otherwords, not accidentally claw our leather couches because they’re hoping and running all over over them.There’s a lever on the laser that allows you to control the projected angle. It in turn allows me to project it solely on the ground.One of the best features of this cat laser specifically is that it automatically comes on. Every other single cat laser I looked at had to be manually pressed to activate. What about the hours you spend away from home with no one to press the button? That’s be a lot of play time missed out on.... or made up on my couches. I believe this laser was advertisedTo automatically activate every 3 hours, but I swear it activated again in under an hour. It’s fantastic!Slight and only con I’ve encountered is that it only rotates in a circular motion. It does switch up a little bit, but sometimes the cats get bored of that motion. Other times they’re all for it and can’t figure out why they can’t catch it.Love this cat laser and highly recommend because of its automatic activation!!!

Okay, so the first week with this was perfection. My kittens adore it and it was a great alternative to using my handheld laser all the time. It is awesome when I'm working or trying to get some sleep. I love that it has a more random pattern and not just circles and that it is easily adjusted. I love you can use batteries so you can put it anywhere no matter if there's an outlet or not. But, with that, it stopped working with batteries after 2 weeks. The pointer still showed but didn't move. I would turn it off and back on a few hours later and then it would work and then stop. Very odd. I decided to plug it in and it works great but I did like the convenience of batteries.

Worked a dozen or so times then my wife turned it on and walked away and it nearly burned the house down. Fortunately she was able to unplug it in time but the unit was so hot it melted the metal plug and plastic housing.This thing should come with a fire extinguisher. Buyer beware.

The media could not be loaded.  My kitten, Blue, loves this device! I want to remind buyers it is important to reward your kitten/cat with a physical toy to chew on after playing with this laser as they are not able to experience the satisfying feeling of ”the catch.”

The media could not be loaded.  Our cat seemed like she was getting bored with her toys. I was looking for something new and different when I came across this. She absolutely loves it!!! Very happy with our purchase.

When you get it out of the box, it's quite underwhelming. It's quite cheap looking actually. You have a button at the back and a lever on the top, that's about it. With the levers you can adjust the vertical angle of the laser. With the button you can switch it on/off and change the speed - and that's it. Let it do its thing and it will move the laser in an arc of its choosing. It's quite noisy, sounds like internal servos whirring. One of my cats absolutely loves it, am so glad I got it as it lets him play and gives us peace while we work from home during the pandemic. One final thing: It does not know if a cat is chasing it or not, so you need to switch it off once the cat is bored. Not sure if it's worth £27.

Having 5 settings is a great idea,from the slowest of beams to the fastest so would suite any kitty.my cat is disabled so she loves the slow dot,she sits there purring as she’s playing,it’s not noisy like some lasers and a charge with either batteries or usb lasts a long time especially if you use the timer. It’s sturdy so won’t topple over and we’ll made. One happy Lily cat.

The media could not be loaded.  My kittens like chasing it, it keeps them trying to get the red dot, the rotation patterns are good but the range area is little off needs tweaked, the red dot can go up or climbs up walls and caused cats to hit the wall!!! even in large rooms so its tilt or angle could be better keep it on the ground all the time would improve it.Over all it ok I can recommend it,gets the job done, keeping my kitten occupied and out of my stuff sometimes but it could be improved allot to make it better.
