Bought as an alternative to plastic but it arrives in 2 plastic bags and each clip is individually wrapped in non recyclable plastic. Completely unnecessary and defeated the purpose of my purchase.

Very sturdy and easy to use

Have not really had a chance to use these yet as we are still using plastic clips that we still have. The stainless steel ones will replace these plastic ones. May well have given a higher score had they been used.

These are strong and durable clips. They are perfect for bigger stronger packets. For example, I use them to keep my big bag of hedgehog food dry and fresh while in the shed and also on larger bags of coffee. They are a bit heavier than some plastic clips so for small thin packaging on smaller bags some people might think they are a bit heavy but I find they are multi-functional as I can roll down the top of any size bag and secure it with a clip. They come with two sizes but as the top of any bag can be secured by folding down the top then clipping I find they work for all my requirements and as I am trying to use less plastic these are great.

The clips themselves are very solid and grip securely. Whilst the edges of the clips are rounded, parts are still relatively sharp and poorly finished. Whilst it's unlikely that you would cut yourself given the location of the sharper edges, it certainly is possible and they should be finished off a little better.Used with care, probably perfectly OK.

...but do not last and eventually fail.These metal clips seem a better deal and so far have given me no problems. It will be interesting to see how the spring survives as the stainless metal is pretty much indestructible in normal use.By these not the plastic versions, it makes more sense in so many ways.

These are just what I was looking for. Strong clips that will keep all the various sizes of food bags sealed and fresh. From snack packets to my bulk bought bags of rice and pasta, the two sizes are perfect. Yes, I could use bulldog clips, but it is nice to have something specific for food and easy to keep clean. They look and feel well made. So pleased with these, I'm buying a second packet.
