As a rehabilitation tool for physical and occupational therapy, The Early Gradeschool (M) pair is excellent for both cases of spasticity (i.e. diplegia, quadriplegia cerebral palsy) and weakness (i.e. Down syndrome). In both situations, the dynamic re-alignment of the elbow assists children in gaining strength and control of key joints and musculature that are critical to the development of gross and fine motor skills. The Early Gradeschool (M) Pair is also a flexible yet effective deterrent for younger grade school aged children who are bringing their hands to mouth (mouthing, hand wringing) in unwanted fashion for situations such as Rett syndrome, autism, and cleft lip and palate.

Best Braces after trying many
I ordered these after trying many different styles (perhaps 10). My daughter has some self harming behavior and needed arm restraints. These have been amazing. They are both comfortable, durable and adjustable. Over time we are weaning her off of them as thankfully her behaviors have almost vanished. She does not use them any longer for restraints but wants them on for security. I am so thankful I found this product and this company.

Amazing product and company
My daughter is self abusive. She has punched herself in the head so much she lost her vision in her left eye. In order to preserve her vision in her right eye she has to wear arm braces so she can't reach her head. We spent over a year trying to get a set that would work for her. Either she could get them off or she would tear them up in a matter of weeks. She had some unique challenges to work around and my frustration level was through the roof. I didn't want to spend more money on yet another thing that wasn't going to work. I wrote the company and asked for an honest opinion on whether they thought these might work for my daughter. Michael Workman called me and really listened to all the challenges we were trying to work around. These arm braces are amazing. They don't slide off her arms, she doesn't have to wear a harness, she has much better use of her hands, she can flex her arms enough to use them with her walker, and they are so much more comfortable for her. The arm braces, the company and Michael Workman are all amazing and 5 stars aren't enough. Thank you for everything and you have a permanent customer in me.

Crawling help
Thank you!!! My son had an asymmetrical craw- army crawl on left and regular crawl on right. After 3 days with the brace he is crawling symmetrically. He went for a PT eval and they said he doesn't even need it!! This meant the world to my husband and I.

Used for Daughter with Rett's Syndrome
I bought the Bamboo Braces for my daughter who is diagnosed with Rett's Syndrome to keep her hands from going to her mouth constantly. The braces have 5 levels of stays to ranging from flexible to firm. It was matter of time when my daughter went to level 5. The braces are well made and wrapped around her arms well. Highly recommended.
