Promax S-35 Aluminum Bicycle Stem 0 Degree 1-1/8" Threadless for MTB Road Bike

This is my second Promax stem. The first one is on my Trek Madone (road bike), which is just a bit short for me. I found a longer Promax stem and thought "why not?" On a road bike you can go a bit long, because you generally don't make hairpin turns or dodge rocks.I was looking into a RaceFace Atlas stem, and this popped up as an alternative at 1/3 the price. Having a good previous experience, I thought "why not?" I used a shim for my older (31.8mm) bars so that I didn't have to commit to new bars until I know whether I like this one.It is BEEFY -- it is much stronger than my stock Diamondback stem. It looks AWESOME on the bike. It's actually a bit shorter than my stock stem and has no rise to it. This works out great. The shorter length makes the bike just a bit more agile, and despite having no rise, the shorter length puts my back in a better position. This was just the tweak I needed to make my bike more comfortable for long rides.I've been searching to see what other parts Promax makes -- I'm becoming a fan.

I really like this stem. It's average weight, not heavy, and it has a great finishSecures my 35 mm carbon handlebar to my carbon fat tire fork just fine. For this setup, a 60 mm is good length to balance out speed of steering and stability. Decent ripice, good quality. Would buy again!
