Fast learning, well laid out
I was only interested to learn how to actually tumble and surprisingly there is much mixed information out there and no real process guidance. Before I invested in the equipment I needed to know what I needed, not as simple as you might think. I'm not tumbling for commercial purposes, just for fun, no gemstones or jewellery but I learned much through this book and didn't have to read the whole thing. It's not that it wasn't interesting, it was laid out very well and I learned a great deal about what I needed and needed to do. If I hadn't read this book I would have wasted money so go buy it if you want to do this without frustration. It's such a movable feast as so much depends on so many things and then you start with trial and error. I'm very happy with what I bought (Manchester Minerals get a special mention - fantastic customer service and all the help I needed too after I bought!) Well done to the author who clearly knows how to put a process in place, excellent book!

Excellent book
This book is very well written, absolutely to the point and so very easy to read and very helpful indeed. It assumes that you do not have several thousands to spend on equipment, and guides towards equipment that is best value as opposed to cheap. The photography is excellent and the quality of printing and reproduction is very good.
