This is a replacement for my previous vacuum sealer so I felt pretty confident I would get right into it. This didn't turn out to be the case. It comes with a good sized, multi-lingual instruction book. The problem I had is it just says 'remove protective coverings', or words to the effect. I couldn't figure out if the gold, metalic-looking tape that covered the heating element/thread, was supposed to be there, or not. The tape followed the element into the sealer. It looked metalic, both features made me think it was supposed to be there. We had to dig out the tape with a utinsil handle. We finally visted youtube and saw someone using one - and the element was tape free. Once we had the tape off and the protective spacer out, it worked as intended.One other thing I'll mention, is closing it requires effort. The side edges, where you apply pressure to close the mashine, requires me to give it a good push. DOUBLE clicks. Push once, get it closed, push again and it locks into place.The cutter is handy although I'm still learning just how much bag is needed for items. It gives me a straight edge so much less waste when cutting by hand. There is an automatic 1-2 inch gap when sealed, which I use to write what it contains.One thing I didn't like, but others might, is I got a card advertising I could get a free roll of bags. All I needed to do was email them with the following information: my name, my address, my email and the amazon product number. With this info, they could data mine me of a lot of information and I didn't feel it was worth a sheet of plastic. With the exception of my email (the most valuable item on the list) the seller already had this information, so unclear who actually wanted it. That's what lost them one star.

I recently bought an Abox Vacuum Sealer 5 in 1 unit. I had vacuum sealed my first package within 10 minutes of receiving the product. It is very easy to use, if you read and follow the instructions precisely. I have used it for meat, meat in a BBQ sauce, bread and even prawn crackers. The video that is on the site is very useful. I recommend this product as another useful tool to have in the kitchen.

Easy to use but ensure that no food is in the are to be sealed. Follow that rule along with, if in doubt double or triple seal, at 7 seconds per seal it's not an issue, you will have great results. You can also cook in the bag.

I bought this as I bulk buy meat and wanted to seal it properly as fed up of getting freezer burns on the meat.Came very well packed,Came with good instructions,I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to use!Wish I’d bought 1 sooner.Will be recommending!

I have just received this Vacuum sealer. And i am quite happy to have this machine. It looks very nice. Read through the instructions and created one side of a bag using the free roll supplied. I then vacuum sealed a Spanish red pepper we bought in Spain last week which had already been half used. I cannot believe how much air it took out of the bag - the pepper feels solid - as if it was frozen. So easy to use - don't hesitate - get one. I have never had a sealer before, so don't know how it compares to others, but I cannot see how another could be better, and at the price, its a steal.

Got one of for my mother last week, after I talked her into getting one to save money and preserve food. Then she watched me using mine, and she loved the concept. She loves it. And surprise, surprise, mine blew up yesterday (a discontinued line). So after seeing my mother's, I've ordered one as a replacement for my blown one. Great value for what you get, compared to other machines.

I bought this vacuum sealer after my previous make failed with worn gaskets that were no longer available as spares. The Abox 5 in 1 has all of the features I need, including a roll cutter, but what surprised me most was how quietly it operates. You can continue to carry on a conversation when it is running! I am very happy with the performance of this product and would happily recommend it.

I like the fact I can control how much suction it has so you don’t get squashed bakery items, which is why I chose it.The advice to press down until you hear a click ... should say hear.. a double click.. this engaged the side clips and allows the propersuction to happen. Nice and light weight handy size.. easy to pull out of a cupboard or drawer and ready to use.. cutter in place.
