Makes a perfect electronics travel bag
More often than not, I don't leave reviews, but I really like this bag and wanted to say a few words about it. I looked all over Amazon trying to find a travel bag for all my electronic devices and their cords and found this to be the best match for what I was looking for. Nothing else seemed like it would work for one reason or another. It's definitely not a traditional use for a "Dopp" kit, but it really is the best electronics carrier I've found. It traveled very well with us down to Florida and kept everything close at hand, yet conveniently and safely stored away. One compartment is larger than the other, which is perfect as I need more room for my devices than for the cords. There is plenty of room for each. It currently holds my Samsung Galaxy SIII phone, a Virgin Mobile Mingle hot spot, a RavPower 10,000 mAh portable charger, a RavPower FileHub/Charger, my old LG phone, my iPad Mini (inside a Newtrent keyboard case that I also love), a Garmin nuvi GPS, my old iPod, and the cords for all of them (even holds my full-sized iPad cord with all the others). It's freaking incredible. Big, durable, convenient carry handle, four zippers (two on each side), sturdy canvas, washable and looks great (I got mine in black). And if you want to use it as a traditional travel kit bag for toiletries, etc, it will work great for that as well. As some may not believe I am able to fit all this in there, I've taken a photo. I used the Galaxy to take the photo so you won't see that in there, but as you can see, there's still plenty of room for that and a few more small items. The makers of this bag should consider designing a similar one with two handles (one on each side) and market it as an electronics travel bag. It would probably be a hot seller, because there's nothing else out there like it and it works great.

So far, so good!
I've just received this product and I'm writing this review based on what I think of it so far. Although this bag is a bit larger than expected, it is still a great one to have. Because of it's size, I'm able to use it for more things than I intended to. I originally purchased this as a toiletry bag, but I could even use it as an electronics travel bag. I can easily fit all of our chargers, our smaller electronics like our cellphones, GPS, and MP3 players, and their accessories with room to spare. The quality is great! The fabric is a durable canvas and the inside is lined with nylon making it great for a toiletry bag. I like how it also has two separate zipper compartments. Once I give this bag a good test run with a couple of trips we have coming up I'll update this review. Only then will I know how this bag will really hold up to the normal wear and tear from traveling.

A Bag for my Man Items
This thing is a beast. It's huge and the canvas seems durable considering all the stuff I shoved into it. My only concern is with the carrying strap. The strap's fabric seems a little frayed and I wonder how long it'll hold before ripping from the bag itself. Only time will tell I guess. As for people commenting on how heavy it is - 1) common sense states that the more things you put into a bag, the heavier said bag tends to be; 2) you're probably lazy and out of shape - start going to the gym. I've seen toddlers carry heavier items. To put into perspective how large this kit is, here's a list of everything I piled into it: Main Compartment: --- 7oz bottle of shaving cream --- Neil Med Sinus Rinse bottle (I have bad allergies - Step Off) --- Neil Med Saline Nasal Spray (see above about stepping off) --- 4fl oz bottle Eucerin Lotion (Lo Lo to fight the elements and keep my beautiful face and bald scalp from drying out something serious) --- Travel size bottle of Cetaphil lotion (see about about the elements) --- Sampler of Art of Shaving after shave --- two 16oz bottles of Witch Hazel (or maybe a little smaller than 16oz) standing up straight --- a bag of cotton ball/wipe things Side Compartment --- Beard and Mustache Trimmer (Conair) with charger plug --- two straight razor shavettes --- mach 5 razor --- 30 Dorco 3-blade razor cartridges (best blades, great price) --- a box of Shark razor blades (100 count) There's still some room to spare in the bag. This is a really long review of a canvas bag, BUT, this is one of those things I hope I'll never have to buy again. So if you're looking for a quality bag that's large (but not too large as to look ridiculous) that has a taste of classiness with a main helping of manliness, buy this bag. I'll update with my take on the strap that I hope does not break.

Great for compact camping mess kit
I purchased this to use as a toiletry bag for camp outs, but found it to be too large for my needs. I had intended to return it, but instead found a great alternative use. I have a small mess kit stored in the smaller compartment. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00US9RZII/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) In the larger compartment I have modified Stanley Adventure Nesting Two Cup Cookset (https://www.amazon.com/Stanley-Adventure-Camp-Stainless-Steel/dp/B005188T90/ref=sr_1_2?crid=MX94QDCDA9TY&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.CUq0EKGubFDb7nTtXJf4fS3S4TeCpOCR7cCjOhie2B_vCxaR5LY9l8NSSIW9paBlILCG-A00bNU5JbP3gJb-0aIQ9AHtaoZd_058DXE0HXPqySPml3z61REm7GRrB1rbmCTOlbG2I0DW85pJ3A4dyycpu9rxYboTzJdvyzjgmlKJD3swqMxHjc0Jes8lh2R7G4xzp2hBOqRKNk-SlcAnzDMqPVI60ESeugAYJv4KsRpxaKhElXh6QO7dz6JQ6vlLC1fdbEPC0PV_IxVjsfusIISztrsKwXvB1Nd99AsLKKc.3AKDoyZ3RMF3GBj8o8bMMCZX0vkbY2MZbXdfS1WSZFI&dib_tag=se&keywords=stanley+adventure+cup&qid=1725973245&s=sporting-goods&sprefix=stanley+adventure+cup%2Csporting%2C126&sr=1-2) Modifications are as follows - removed 1 green cup, inside the remaining cup are a basket strainer with a fold up micro stove head, P38 can opener and spare gasket inside. Then around that is a DIY bailing wire hanger using picture hanging wire and anchors and a small BIC lighter. On top of that is an upside down fuel can. Lid handle was replaced with a small Nite Ize metal clip. On the outside I have a silicone egg ring slid up the Stanley cup. Then on the bottom is a stretched out can coozie. Then the Stanley cookset nests into a folding handle metal cup from a big box store, with a circle cut green scrubbie inside. This whole kit fits in the larger compartment with room to spare. I'm adding in a folding wind screen, a spice container, some condiment packets and maybe a spare fuel can. This is a small footprint compartmented container to keep food prep supplies nicely organized for camp outs or backpacking adventures.

Great quality and a great item for the price
Bought this bag to travel west to a monastery. It was an okay size and I was able to carry my shaving supplies, soap, toothpaste and toothbrush, a comb and some ear swabs for a two week stay. Great quality and a great item for the price, believe from the way that it is put together that it would stand up to a lot more use and last a good amount of time. Zippers also worked great and I have had no problems with them at all.

Ten years later, still doing its job
I've owned this dopp kit for about ten years, and at this point I think that's the strongest endorsement I can give it. Over the years it has served multiple roles. Day-to-day it lives in my bathroom closet holding my travel toiletries. It's been my shower kit for trips to the gym after work, and it's accompanied me on numerous vacations and business trips. Through all of that use, it's held up remarkably well. The canvas construction feels durable and has proven it over time. After a decade of ownership, the seams are still intact, the fabric hasn't frayed, and there are no worn-through spots despite years of being packed, unpacked, carried, and tossed into luggage. What I like: * durable canvas construction * simple, practical design * holds up well to regular travel * two-compartment layout helps with organization * not overloaded with unnecessary pockets The layout is one of my favorite aspects. The two compartments make it easy to separate and organize items without turning the bag into a maze of tiny pockets. Some toiletry bags try to solve organization by adding endless compartments, which often makes them more complicated than useful. This strikes a nice balance. The only issue I've had in ten years is that one of the zipper pull strings eventually came undone. Considering the age of the bag, that's hardly a major complaint. Each compartment uses dual zippers, so I simply use the zipper from the opposite side and haven't felt the need to repair it. Honestly, that's an impressive list of problems for a bag that's seen a decade of service. If you're looking for a straightforward, durable toiletry bag that prioritizes function over gimmicks, this has been an excellent choice. Ten years later, mine is still going strong and shows every sign of continuing to do so.

GREAT, Tough Bag!
My husband has had a toiletry bag that he got when he joined the Army 20+ years ago, and it is still in fairly good condition considering it has been all over the world! But I felt it was time to get him a new one...at least to travel with...the old one can just be used for storage at home if he wanted to keep it. This Rothco bag is VERY well made. It is a nice thick canvas and the construction is awesome. It is large enough to hold my husbands toiletries and then some - it's pretty good size, bigger then the one he's been using. I think it would take a lot to ruin this bag. The prices is GREAT so there's no complaints at all. I'm actually thinking of getting one for myself!

Simple. Functional.
Alright, so it's toiletry bag. How much can one possibly review it? Ok, ok, so here it is. The price is right. It's not at all expensive for what you get. I was a bit spoiled because I got my last toiletry bag as a Christmas gift at least a decade ago, and it finally was failing apart. This bag should likely last at least as long. The construction appears solid, and the zippers are robust, which seems to be the common failing point of toiletry bags. The bag is quite large, and the volume in either pocket is ample. You should have little issue jamming all your goods in here for either a long weekend away or a month long trip to another hemisphere. If you're looking for bling in a toiletry bag, you won't find it on here unless you bedazzle it yourself. It's made for function, and it functions exactly as it should - it holds all your "stuff!"
