I always have an extra one on hand and easier to order online than look for it in the store. My Levoit air purifier likes it too. Just make sure to get the right size for the Levoit you have.

That old filter sure smelled stinky! This fit my old Eureka without any issues.

I had always put off buying a new Hepa filter because the price in the stores seemed to be outrageous, and now they are difficult to find. After 7 years though, my filter was looking pretty gross, so I decided to search online to see if I could find an alternative. I found it here. For about what I would have spent on one filter at the store, I bought two and a package of 9 bags. They were packaged well, they fit, and arrived as promised. The filter has fewer fins than the original, but I don't see where that will make much of a difference. My vacuum continues to work as it always did, and it's reassuring to know that the air expelled is clean.

I own a Eureka Model 4870. A.K.A. "Smartvac", "Boss", "Pet Lover"You may be able to tell when your filter is getting full if your vacuum doesn't seem to be sucking as hard. This could also be from a full bag, but if the bag is empty, and it is still weak, then check the filter next.The front panel (Silver/Gray on my vacuum) has a tab on one side. you push the tab in, and the door pops open. The filter is not held down by anything, so it should fall out on its own, or a little encouragement with a butter knife around the edges can get it loose.Check the filter. If the paper part in the center is bright white (like the picture of a new one) then there is no need to replace. If it looks grayish or blackish, then its probably time to replace.if you've been using the vacuum consistently for at least a year since the last filter change, then its probably time to replace no matter how clean it looks.If the filter is solid black with dirt and crud, then it definitely needs to be replaced, and there may be a problem with your vacuum if its that bad.Make sure the new one is facing the same direction as how the old one came out.Then just replace the cover, and you are ready to go!You may not notice much of a difference, but a vacuum with a clean filter should suck a little harder, and the air coming out should be cleaner and dust free.This item is a good price, and fits exactly like the original filter that came with my vacuum. I would recommend to anyone who needs a HEPA filter for their Eureka 4800 series vacuum.

Even though it said this was the right filter for my vacuum, it took me a few days to order because the product dimensions in the description was not the filters actual size. I eventually saw the filter size in "Ask a question" which stated approx 6 1/4 H x 4 3/4 w x 1 1/2 D....this is the filter size.

Fits perfectly, appears to be well made. The EnvroCare bags are great, this seems to be similar quality.

I couldn't find this hepa filter in our local stores. Glad to find if online and for a good price. Works great.
