Well constructed.

I was very pleasantly surprised by just how perfect this basting mop is. Nicely constructed with a long and sturdy wood handle. The cotton mop head is generously sized and best of all it comes with an extra mop head. To clean the mop you have a couple of choices. You can soak the mop head in a warm water and bleach solution or you can put the mop head in your dishwasher. I know there are other methods to clean the mop but the two I listed are the way I clean mine. Shipping was prompt and the price was really right.

As of this review I have not yet used the mop so that's why only 4 starsAs far a quality goes it feels sturdy, I like that it has a removable head and comes with an extra mop head as well. The packaging says the head is dishwasher safe so that's a plus! The head itself simply screws onto the handle.One thing I was not aware of is the mop is for use on runny sauce or basting sauce. Nothing thick. More runny.The price point was good

great product. very sturdy with a nice long handle & 2 mop heads.. mop unthreads from the handle for cleaning. have been using this for over a year now.the only draw back, if it even is one, is that if you have a lot of spices in your sauce, it does take a little effort to clean them out after use. I usually clean by hand in the sink before running thru the dishwasher to ensure there aren't any errant flakes of any spice left in it after cleaning.

My husband has been looking for a good mop for when he bbq's. I found this mop and order it because it remind me of the homemade bbq mops my grandfather made in the old days. The mop came with a replacement head and was delivered quickly. The stick is made of wood and the mop head is thick. Due to unpleasant weather my husband hasn't had a chance to use it, but just by looking at it my husband says it is a good mop, it's sturdy and the strings feel strong where they won't come off easily, it's better than those little silicone basting mops, and he was please that it came with an addition mop head. I'm quit sure he will be bragging about this basting mop to his buddies.

Good bbq mop. Holds a lot of sauce. I clean mine by hand as it usually has a lot of sauce on it. To dry I go outside and sling it hard with the handle on - don’t let go - until it’s damp. Then remove the mop head and twirl it while placing it on a towel or paper towel to finish drying. Practice this you’ll get the hang of it. Just make sure there is not a wad of threads together they will dry faster. This product does what it says and is well made. Recommend.

The strands on this mop are thick. Yes, they're three strands braided and they can be unbraided, if you have the patience for that which I don't, or at least I didn't to unbraid more than half the mop braids. Though upon doing so, it began (as I imagined it would) to leave some threads here and there time to time depending on the aggressiveness of the mopping action (so-to-speak). No, I didn't try mopping a floor with it. Build quality appears to be all there (for a grill mop), but between the thick braids and not so absorbent threading that makes up those braids, I had to give it a three star rating.So suggestions to the manufacturer:1. Decrease the diameter/thickness of each braid/strand2. Find a different thread/material (of the mop head) to something a little more absorbent (it seems to nearly repel liquid).

These are really great grill mops, and the replacement mop spare is an excellent addition. Long handled to avoid the grill heat, detachable head allows dishwasher cleanup. Mop loads well with a good volume of sauce, which speeds application. Indispensable for large volume BBQ. The only downside is for small jobs the mop itself loads a large volume of sauce some of which which gets wasted, you might want a traditional brush for this instead. But for what this is, it's a virtually perfect tool.
