CeloxTM Rapid Ribbon

Ordered from Rescue Essentials. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Incredibly fast shipping, I got it two days after I ordered it in Oregon. The rapid ribbon is authentic, package undamaged, expires 2020-05 and it is very compact. I carry it in a rothco hip pouch along with a SWAT-T tourniquet, rolled up with a ranger band for compactness, every day, everywhere I go, so I can react to major blood loss in seconds, without opening up my pack. As a trained first responder and motorcycle rider, this is not a far fetched scenario.I did a lot of research, and most combat medics prefer clotting gauze over powder and pads. CELOX seems to be the winner, as it does not need to be surgically removed, and is still apparently superior to quickclot in that it does not cause pain or heat. Only use this in life threatening emergencies - not for boo boos. I prefer this over pads, because it can be stuffed in a wound and wrapped around a wound anywhere on the body, helping stop bleeding, before you get your pressure dressing/isreali bandage on.Also recommended, woundstop isreali bandages, CELOX-A injector, HALO chest seals, gloves, tampons, tape, and povidone iodine in a little squeeze bottle - everything you need to save a life. Not much else to say about this, it's perfect and you need one.Suppliers, I would like to receive free products in return for detailed reviews.

For those of you putting together personal trauma kits, this is the single most useful celox product to get. It wraps, covers, compresses, and is packable all in one with a blood gelling compound that seals the injury until it's removed. If you have the space, other Celox stuff is great, but if you need to pick one for space considerations, this is the one.I've picked up more of these since, but my first one got used on a dog that lost a foot and had several pelt tears in a car accident. Bleeding stopped on contact and I could visibly see the distress the dog was in fade almost immediately. Obviously this is a product you'd prefer to never need, but there's nothing better on the market for how many way this thing can be used and nothing works better for its applications.

Nice to have in a blowout kit or a bug out bag

No reason to believe this product isn't fantastic. Only leaving this review because I inadvertently gave it a 2 star review by mistake thinking I was reviewing a different product.

This product seems to be the evolution of combat gauze and the like. It has an extra hemostatic agent and is 1" wide to better fit wounds we might see in the civilian world. Hopefully I never have to see how well it works.

I like the size of this product, it fits well in my kit.
