Wonderful tool

I make pasta as a living. I use these for four or more hours a day, five days a week. Other types of this cutter have thin wheels that don't roll straight at speed or warp. Others are cheaply made, with gaps in the edges from poor casting which leaves little connections between ravioli you must cut again or they tear. This matters when you are making hundreds of ravioli. Others have a combined wheel and 'axle' construction that wears at the yoke, loosening it and causing the wheel to veer off course. This cutter has a separate pin that holds it together which holds up much longer.Although they do eventually break - after a year of use the weld at the axle/wheel connection gives. But I'm using it twenty hours a week/fifty weeks a year. For most people 1000 hours of use will last a lifetime.

This works well. I’ve used it on pie dough and puff pastry dough. Cuts well.

The roller is sturdy and well constructed. Probably works great on raviolis. It does NOT, however, work well on cutting crackers. So, I would take a leap and extend this to any long bit of dough you need to cut. The shape of the cut is also a bit extreme. The grooves go very deep and jagged and too aggressive for me.

I bought this to make my homemade dog treats. I just roll out the dough to about a 3/16th inch thickness and use this wheel with the zig-zag edge to cut them into 1 inch squares. When I bake them, the edges stay defined and pretty. It's a great little tool for not much money and really does the job well! It was a very good purchase for me and my needs.

These are extremely well-made! Drawback: you do not get a color choice.

I love to make pies but have shied away from making a basket weave top. Now that I have this tool that will beautifully cut the strips - I can't wait to make my next pie and WOW my family!

Decent ravioli wheel for the price. Ie you pay for what you get. If you really want sharp, crisp edges without any bit of dough that didn't cut through all the way/getting stuck and then you having to run the blade back over it/tearing it, then you should probably buy the 49 dollar dual sided brass one made in Italy. BUT, for the price this one will get the job done albeit a bit slower and not as clean or professional looking.
