Great Iron Supplement - hard to find 5 mg dose!
For no known cause, my blood tests have shown borderline anemia off and on for years when I do not take iron supplements. "Normal" 27-35 mg doses tear up my gut and give me terrible diarrhea.I have found that this low dose of iron taken with one 250 mg Kirkman vitamin C capsule pushed my blood levels into the normal range within a few months. Iron needs a little vitamin C to hold its hand and walk it into the blood stream! I have been following this routine for the last 18 months and blood tests no longer show any anemia. I am back to my usual energetic self. Thank you Kirkman Labs!BTW I take my iron and vitamin C with dinner and never have any stomach pain from it.

WORKS GREAT, FOR ME, FOR ENERGY
Really gives me energy. I can’t take more than one pill per day. And I think it works best for me if I take it every other day, ONLY IN THE MORNINGS. Probably the best supplement, FOR ME, in my supplement arsenal for energy. Better than coffee. Although I have to have my coffee throughout the day.I’ve got the feeling that some people may need more than I take. And for some people taking any iron at all could be really harmful.There are blood tests you can take if you want to be ultra safe.

Small dose gives flexibility for seniors
Seniors have a smaller requirement for iron and I usually buy regular vitamins that have a 2 capsule dose and then I only take one to limit how much iron I get, but recently my preferred vitamins were out of stock and the only similar type available was a senior version that had no iron at all. I do better when I take some iron, so I have been using these little 5 mg iron pills for several months now, they provide a conveniently small amount (I normally take two, when I only took one I was wearing out in the middle of my normal walk, though probably were several factors involved).
