Fantastic, couldn't put it down.
I enjoyed the book very much, The way two lives came together from opposite directions. The willpower to survive. A true eye opening story.I bought the book for my grandson for his seventh grade summer project. I decided to read the book so we could talk about it so he could better grasp how others around the world suffer and how determined some are and how they end off changing the world. Great book for anyone..

Inspiring Story!
The book was so inspiring. I read it over the summer to see if I could read it to my fifth grade class. This book kept me on my toes and my jaw dropped multiple times while reading - and it's all based on a true story. Truly incredible. Worth the read and I'm excited to try it out with my class this year. I am sure some very good conversations will be started through this book.

Heartwarming
The color difference on the font was both helpful and harmful. The colors helpedead me to the correct character, but it was hard to transition my eyes on the Ebook. The story was heartfelt. I enjoyed learning about South Sudan and Salva's challenges that build his project.

Engaging!
I read this story with my 6th grade students. We all loved it, and the ending, which connected both characters was a true ‘gotcha’ moment for my students when they made the connection. Great read for multiple ages. Well written.

A very moving, true story
This book brings to light the fear and desperation of some of the people in the Sudan, and also the victory that came from one young child’s life.

Beautifully written poignant short story for children
Great for age 9-99! Especially poignant with regard to the present refugee crisis this book is a one day compelling read for children (although worth it for adults to read too when the children have finished).
