Affordable Lip Liners That Deliver Amazing Quality! 💋
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by these L.A. Colors Lipliner Pencils! They’re affordable but perform so much better than I expected. The formula glides on smoothly without tugging at my lips, making it super easy to create a clean, defined lip. I also love that they’re pigmented enough to wear on their own with a gloss or to pair with my favorite lipsticks. They last for hours, don’t smudge easily, and help keep my lipstick from feathering. The shades are versatile, especially for everyday nude lip combos. For the price, you really get amazing value. If you’re looking for budget-friendly lip liners that actually deliver, these are definitely worth adding to your makeup bag.

Inexpensive- but pretty great!
I love these L.A. Colors lip pencils. I buy a bunch of them at a time. The colors are great, and there is a good selection to choose from. I love the spectrum of warmer, browner tones they offer. They’re so pretty. For such inexpensive pencils, they have a very decent amount of pigment, and the colors are not muddy, the way so many cheap lip pencils tend to be. They are not excessively hard in texture, nor too greasy. I have worked with many, many different brands of lip pencils, as I was a make up artist for 30 years. I am now retired, and these are the lip pencils I buy now for my personal use. I could splurge, but I tried one of these, and really liked its performance. They have a decent wear time, if you go over your lined lips with a bit of translucent powder, and they last awhile, even with daily use. There is one thing about these pencils that can be frustrating- though this can happen with any makeup pencil. Sometimes, you will get one that will keep breaking when you try to sharpen it. There are a couple of things you can do if this happens. First, put the pencil in the freezer for about ten minutes before you try to sharpen it again. The cold will solidify the oils in the core of the pencil, so it will be more solid when you go to sharpen it again. Also, always clean all of the remnant gunk left over from sharpening your pencils out of your sharpener. That stuff, if you leave it in there, is going to grab on to the point of the pencil you are trying to sharpen, and encourage it to break. Soak the head of a Q Tip in some waterproof makeup remover, then wipe it all around inside and outside the blade of your sharpener, to clean it out. Use as many Q Tips as you need to get it nice and clean. It’s kind of a pain to keep doing this, but it will save your pencils from breaking. Also make sure the blade in your sharpener has a good sharp edge on it. If it doesn’t, what you are doing is smushing your pencils, not sharpening them. Keep brand new back up sharpeners handy. And when you are sharpening- do it slowly. Concentrate on what you are doing. I can’t tell you the amount of times (in the past) I whittled an expensive Chanel or NARS (etc.) makeup pencil down to nothing because I was in a hurry, or not paying attention to what I was doing. But sometimes, you will just get a pencil that keeps breaking on you. And if it’s one of these L.A. Colors pencils, well- it’s really no big deal to replace it. I’m really happy I discovered these lip pencils, and glad Amazon stocks them. I think these lip pencils are pretty great, and I highly recommend them..

You pay for the quality of this one.
Great color to match the lipstick. Not an everyday look. Doubles as an eyeshadow and blush. Smears kind of easily. Not long lasting but smooth application. Worth the money definetly.

Great lipliner
Love this! It doesn’t really have a smell. It’s cute shade and creamy formula. Super easy to wash off no staining. One thing I do have to say is it comes off too easy. Great product!!

True frosty pink
I use this with a lipstick when I’m doing a frosty pink lip on occasion. Wish it was a bit creamier, but it does stay.

Good
Is it a little hard? Yeah. But, it isn’t terribly so. The pigment is great. A little patchy sometimes but wearing a gloss or lipstick helps. It’s great value and if it seems to not be as dark as you want or not soft enough then the lighter trick would work. Be careful though. It is in a wood overshell.

True Brown and Goes on Smooth
I hate how much this lipliner moves but I love the color and the price. The lipliner will end up under the lips and on top of the lips making it look like you have a mustache shadow which is annoying. It Doesn't last through eating and drinking and does require frequent reapplying after a few hours of wear or lipgloss application. I love that the pencil isn't dry but being that it's more on the cream side (very light soft not dry and hard) it doesn't apply well on top of overly moisturized lips. You must apply the lipliner first. It's not plumping the lips but It's a great color for the darker girls for a more natural yet dramatic line that is visible. a TRUE brown.

Chocolate girlies, pull up and listen.😀
On my hand starting from the bottom to the top you will see the colors BLACK, EGGPLANT and DEEPEST PURPLE. If your skin color ranges from say Gabrielle Union to Nyma Tang and you like lipliners like Mac’s Nightmoth and the discontinued Currant😞 I would say the black liner is your best bet because you can see that you can make it as bold or as faint as you like, it will be great for lip structure and ombré-ing any lipstick you have. Eggplant and Deepest Purple are ok but they are a bit wishy washy for my needs but if you are a similar skin color to me, they may be just what you need. But if you want maximum bang for your buck and don’t wish to pay $25 for a lipliner, the black shade will be your best bet as you can’t go wrong with it, if applied properly or to your aesthetic tastes. So with that said I plan on stocking up on few more of the black shade. The appearance, pigment and longevity are decent for the price and do what needs to be “did”.
