An inspiring book that gives the reader access to both spaces of and insight from creatives
People, Homes and Studios to inspire .. and this is just the start of the golden information and visuals contained in this beautiful book authored by the founders/owners of Poketo. This book gives us a wonderful look inside the homes and studios of creatives from several cities ..almost like seeing their personal sketchbooks . In addition we learn about their professional and personal philosophies . Which in the case of Brendan Ravenhill, a talented lighting designer in Los Angeles includes the advice of using 10-15 minutes of extra time to do something creative, or the wonderful illustration of set designers and director Add Goodrich and Sean Pecknold which advocate read for many hours after coffee and ne you art ancestors and movement matters most. Or a look at how San Francisco artist Wendy Chen got started with her Year of Knots. We should all have one of those . Every day I open the book and read about a creator and their space and gain a new nugget of insight and inspiration . I can't recommend this book enough. Great for yourself. and great as a gift.

A beautiful and inspiring book!
This book is a beautiful labor of love from the founders of POKETO in Los Angeles. Creative Spaces takes us behind the scenes and into the homes and studios of some of the most exciting and innovative artists right now. You will learn about the wonderful people behind some of your favorite brands and you might even find new favorites. I know some of the makers in this book personally and I have had many wonderful experiences with the authors, Ted Vadakan and Angie Myung. I loved this book, but I have also purchased an additional 5 copies for friends and family. Buy it! Read it! Share it! You will not be disappointed!

Kind of interesting
It doesn't reveal very much about how the subjects organize and store their stuff, so that was disappointing. Weirdest part was how almost everyone goes for a white interior. It makes sense for the cleanest, brightest light, but it's also boring.

Something you will return to again and again
I am really enjoying this book!If you are looking for sleek and glamorous design how tos, this book is not for you. If you love layered and interesting homes and if you like reading about entrepreneurs and their creative process and getting a sneak peek at their world, then you will love this book. There is some much to look at in each picture and there is so much content! Sometimes you flip through a design book and you “get it” in just about 10 minutes and can then put it away for awhile. This is a treat that keeps going. I enjoyed reading about the artists stories and seeing their spaces. I found they varied a lot, though most of the spaces do lean a bit mid century modern or industrial.I am including a lot of caveats because design is so subjective. I have bought a book more than once due to rave reviews only to be highly disappointed. So, keeping that in mind, I’m trying to give a more descriptive review and temper expectations.

An Incredible and Inspiring Book that Celebrates Diverse Artists and their Spaces
I absolutely adore this book. The encouraging message, to be creative and make one’s space their own, is something everyone should practice. Creative Spaces offers a glimpse of each artist presented and is incredibly inspiring. All the work within this vibrant book truly is a celebration of people and expression. The homes and spaces shared, unique to each, are so awe inspiring. The images and stories are wonderful to peruse, as well. I couldn’t love this book more! A quality piece everyone needs in their library or on their coffee table. Such a good read.

Full of creative inspiration
Beautiful from start to finish. I found myself fascinated with how these artists carry their expression into their homes and studios—catching a glimpse of a sketch on a wall or even seeing what kind of houseplants they have. Hearing about how these artists got started is inspiring, and I look forward to seeing where they go with their creativity. It’s obvious that the authors put a lot of care and love into capturing the true personalities of the artists. I hope to see more books from them in the future.

Not just any interiors book, but one that stretches the possibility of space
A beautiful book capturing the lives of creatives beyond their work. Inspiration not only resides in what is made, but what surrounds us. This publication shares that there is no separation between art and individual, but a continuum of expression. Highly recommend!
