Sauder3-tier Beginnings Multimedia Storage Tower, Cinnamon Cherry finish

I recently switched internet providers and found myself needing a place to put my new modem and router that would fit in the small space I have set aside for them, and this little set of shelves was exactly what I was looking for. It was easy to assemble, it's sturdy, it looks nice, it's just the right size, and you can't beat the price. The shelves are adjustable, so you can choose the heights that work for whatever you're going to be putting on the shelves, and you don't have to use all three if you want space for taller items. The back is made out of a sort of thick cardboard, which was perfect for me, since I wanted to cut a hole in it to feed the cords through. My only complaint is that because the back is folded before you assemble it, you have to be careful when you nail it onto the shelves to make sure it is sitting nice and flat- otherwise, it can push out a bit on the shelves (which are just sitting on top of studs so that you can always adjust the distance between them).I know some of the reviews complain about how small this unit is, but even if you forgot to check the measurements given (or didn't really understand them), and you didn't read the description about what the shelves are meant for, all you have to do is look closely at the picture to see that the shelves are holding small items like CD's.So if what you're looking for is a small set of shelves for a few books, DVD's, CD's, knick knacks, or, in my case a modem and router- this is the product for you. If you're looking for a large bookcase, keep on looking.

This was so simple to put together and once together is sturdy enough for holding DVD's and Blu-rays as it mainly was designed to do. Be aware that the depth measurement shown in the product picture is of the base plate and is not the depth of the shelves. Those are just a little bit deeper than the width of a DVD case. The base plate sticks out further than the rest of the shelf on purpose and that purpose is to keep it from tipping forward once you load the shelves up with what ever you put on them. I am quite skilled with putting together this type of furniture since almost every cabinet, shelf and entertainment center I have and have had in the past is exactly the same. But seriously this is not some genius level puzzle. Reading the instructions and patience is all it takes. You will need a Phillip's head screw driver (don't use a powered screwdriver unless you want to run the risk of striping out the screws when attaching the bottom) and a hammer. Also make sure you read the measurements given. This is not a very big shelving unit. It's perfect for the space I needed it for though.

This is a neat little shelf for DVDs. Unlike other reviewers I actually saw the dimensions before I ordered it because I needed something small. It fits it's purpose nicely, and also holds collection sets/boxes fairly well.However, the backside of it is not solid like the rest of it. It is a thin covering that you nail onto the sides (About 2 dozen nails). This makes it a little less sturdy, but it still looks fine and it also means it can fit closer to the wall. The shelves are also a little tricky to get in but are nice and adjustable.

I've bought hundreds (Yes, plural) of book and media shelves over the years, and, so far, Sauder is my favorite by far. Having said that, it's not solid oak or maple or anything like that -- it's simple pieces you can put together without needing power tools.I use mine for books, CDs, DVDs, and vinyl records. The Multimedia Storage Unit is one of their easier pieces to assemble -- personally, I like the bookcases more, but Multimedia Storage Towers were on sale. I purchased five units this week and four were perfect. One was missing holes in the base piece. The instructions came with a phone number. I called it and didn't wait long (two minutes) and spoke to a live person (no bot!) who spoke clearly and ordered the replacement part to arrive within the week. This is unheard of from some of Sauder's competitors.I won't give the names of the companies, but I ordered from two competitors in fall of 2023. Some parts didn't arrive in these competitors' deliveries. I continued to call into November and December, but it's 2024 and I've received no replacement or call back. An email promised a replacement part, but it never came. I've never gone through that with Sauder. I lost much of my Sauder furniture when I lived in FL (hurricane) and am starting over with shelving units, but I strongly support Sauder over the others.

They misrepresented the bookcase by enlarging the picture of it. This item is 2.5 feet tall. I did not want a hassle to return because sometimes Amazon will charge you again after they credited your account without notice...they may claim you did not send the item back. I try to keep my relationships in good standing even when I have had problems in the past with merchants. I will not buy bookshelves through this platform. I was very disappointed. The Good News, it's perfect for cologne or a perfume stand on the floor or a shelf in a closet...how about that ! Nice & neat. I love it for that. Thanks, Make it a great day !

Arrived early easy to put together instructions very easy to follow goes together if you do as instructed. I learned a trick with screws rub them over soap before using makes them easier to insert into holes I start them & back them out & them go & insert them all the way in I've found the soap has helped in hand screwing them in

The description of this product is misleading. The actual inside dimensions of the bookshelf space are 11.25 wide x 5.25 deep! The measurements given are those of the base, which is deeper for balance. I found this to be very misleading! However, the case works great for the large number of smaller books we have. It would work very well for a collection of paperbacks.The quality is pretty much in line with the price, as is the fit and finish. You're getting what you pay for.

So I’ve bought 2 shelves like this to store my game collection. These shelves are fairly stable and compact and are easy to assemble. They also come with extra shelf pieces in case you want to store shorter items. This makes them perfect for displaying Nintendo DS/3DS games.

Amazing product. I really like to put all of my DVD's, Blu-ray's and video games there so that it can save me space and time.
