doxie Go SE Wi-Fi - The Smarter Wi-Fi Scanner with Rechargeable Battery & Amazing Software (Renewed)

Getting use to portable scanner takes a minute, use to just running it through feeder. But I need portability. A useful feature is the ability to run through old photos and scan without the need to be connected to a PC. Download when done from the included memory card. Customer service is the best I have seen in a VERY long time. They reached out to me right away to make sure my experience was what I expected. I corresponded with them about an issue and they quickly remedied it for me. Top notch!

I bought the Doxie after looking at multiple reviews. Compared to competitors the Doxie stood out for its simplicity in design and software. After scanning 600+ documents, photos, and receipts, I'm very pleased with the Doxie scanner. The scanner itself is so simple you don't have to think to use it, and the software is phenomenal - simple, quick, and the OCR to PDF works great. Kudos to the Doxie team for designing a great product.Also the Doxie product support is great and very proactive - I had a question and they answered very quickly (I had 1 out of 100 scans skewed slightly, but turns out I was not using the paper guide and letting go too quickly before the page went inside the scanner - in any case the skew was easy to fix in the software, and even without being careful the scans were perfect near every time).

Very easy to use. I was able to scan and put on sd card 100's of pictures also scanned items to computer with same image quality as originals . Long lasting battery makes it convenient to use anywhere. There are so many uses for this little scanner there's no reason to go for a big one. This scanned 8x10 pictures without problems

For a tech savvy person, I was a bit annoyed with trying to get the internet connected. Bought to be able to scan documents on the go, but my iPhone scanner actually works better.

great scanner. super product support. fyi, i have yet to get the wi-fi to work (is not intuitive to me) but it is so easy to hook up to laptop w usb i probably will not try again. the only downside of the item is that it does not come with an affordable hard-shell travel case so i taped together a piece of packing bubble wrap to slide scanner into - it is important to protect it, i think, 'cause it is plastic. very easy to move scans to computer with included software. very easy to process the images; it is a really good image processing software package with great image adjustment options that, unfortunately, i have yet to figure out how to process images/pdf's from other sources with it and i would if i could. i use this thing remote, i.e. not hooked up to computer, all the time. turn it on, scan, turn it off and later move to computer. i like that it uses a removeable flash memory; sometimes it is easier when it is loaded with scans to put the flash memory in the computer to delete all scans quickly when there are a lot of 'em. i like that it scans thick items like credit card thickness. i like that it gets great resolution scans of flimsy items like retail receipts. just a super good product. tip: make sure the right guide is snug up against the edge of item to be scanned then maybe back off one click so as not to pinch the document.

Update: I initially had issues with it taking a while to connect. However customer support reached out and were very helpful getting me straightened out.I got this scanner to try and catalog medical records and free up some space in my filing cabinet. When you can get it to work, it works fine. But it takes FOREVER to get it connect anytime I want to use it.

When receiving the product, I followed the setup as directed and downloaded their software, but beyond successfully scanning a page to the SD card, I could get nothing else to work, such as connecting the device to the network to wirelessly transfer the scanned images. The software had two options for support; either chat or email. I attempted the chat first and it asked for my name and email address. Upon entering the information, I got a response stating my email address was not recognized, so I tried again by explaining that I hadn't registered the product yet and no matter how many times I attempted to explain, I received the same canned computerized response. I attempted to register the product, but there was absolutely no instructions with the product nor on their website on how to register it. I was able to locate on the downloaded software under the Help heading how to register the item. It would not allow me to register until I was able to successfully import a scan, which is why I was attempting to reach support. I then emailed them my request for support during their regular business hours and received a message stating they would contact me shortly. It has been over 24 hours and still no response, so I sent it back since I could not justify keeping an item when there is virtually no support. If you are looking for a company that supports there products, do not consider Doxie. I would never recommend a Doxie product to anyone under the present circumstances.
