Just Dusty: Greatest Hits

Anyone of a certain age will recognize so many songs in this collection--and be delighted to hear them sung in that inimitable husky Dusty voice that can ring clear as a bell and call you back in time. But I absolutely cannot believe that "Windmills of your mind" was omitted, when one or two selections could have been excised to make room for this CLASSIC. But still! Even still! It is a great collection, and I love it. Simply do not understand how this song could have been left out.

Dusty Springfield had a voice like no other. Having all of her best songs in one place is wonderful. The recording quality is beyond reproach.

Pop, R&B, and blue-eyed soul singer, Dusty Springfield passed too young, and is dearly missed. Thankfully, she knew of her induction into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame before she died. Her friend, Elton John helped induct her, declaring "I'm biased but I just think she was the greatest white singer there has ever been..."Unfortunately, CD does not live up to such lofty standards. It is "all over the place." Consistently little bass but worse, clarity, dynamics, quality and recording level varied from song to song. Irritating...Some songs were so poorly sounding, I was bored, and wished they/the album was over. But...her signature, and newer (collaborations) were engaging, exciting, and interesting.I loved Dusty's style, and sultry vocals so am pressed to offer a slightly higher, satisfactory rating.

A nice CD lots of Dustys older hits on this,, Son of a Preacher Man , You don't have to say you love me ,, etc!!I would say if you are a fan this is a good cd to have

This is the best sounding single disc to date and the programming is generous. 79 minutes of Dusty, all full length album versions and the vintage tracks are the stereo versions. The mastering is parallel to the "Magic Of Dusty Springfield" and "Goin' Back The Definitive Dusty Springfield," both of those sets released in 2011. This disc makes a fine introduction to Dusty and a worthy addition to the seasoned collector needing to upgrade the quality of a few tracks.

I love listening to Dusty Springfield and this Greatest Hits CD is wonderful!!

Purchase inspired by the movie Catch Me If You Can. Enjoyed so many of the pieces on this cd in days gone by.

Good cd for us ,middle age people

今頃気になって探してみると　23番のスプーキー、トヨタ　イストのＣＭに使われていたそうな。しかしモノによっては異バージョンもあるみたいで聞いてみましたがこれは大丈夫。ちゃんと指パッチン入ってましたよ。よかったね～。
