Sturdy and effective stand hardware that will last for years.
These target bases are relatively compact, very well made and work great on the range. They can be setup in moments, and they can take a lot of impact without wobbling. I really like that they seem able to hold a lot of weight, and my heaviest steel targets are rock solid on these stands. The 2x4s I used to set them up were culled (damaged) wood and were literally free at Home Depot. After using them, I can see many more uses for these stands than just target shooting - (i.e. hammock stand, campsite awning stands.) Thanks for an excellent product!

These Targets are good. BUT HAVE MAJOR DRAW BACKS
First off I want to list the PROS and CONS:PROS:Sturdy Base.Quick replacement function of main 2 by 4.Great for setting up and leaving.Weld Job is par at best(after all its more than likely going to get hit)CONS:Over painted(they are expected to get a little rusty) and thick paint on inside of holes is not needed.2 by 4s didn't fit into any part at all and needed planing or sanding to get them to fit.bolts to hold the legs are not needed. Not good for quick disassembly.Top mounting system is overly complicatedShooting plate stays connected unless you undue the bolt which is annoying for quick disassembly.Overall if you are planning to set the target up once and leave it there you are golden. Or if you have enough storage space then good on you. Biggest draw back is that regular 2 by 4s DO NOT FIT WITHOUT MODIFICATION!!! The bolts to hold the legs are not needed but the quick disconnect that only needs an allen key to remove the main 2 by 4 is a nice touch.Would I recommend this product:No. This is due to not being able to quickly disassemble and standard 2 by 4's not fitting. This product needs a facelift in which the 2 x 4's fit easily and can be removed fast for replacement and flat packing. The bolts to hold the legs in can easily be over looked and not used. I would recommend this product for mounting the shooting plate(RANGETIME Targets- Steel Shooting Target Mount Stand Holder 2x4 Hanger) and unfortunately I don't have one for the base that uses 2 by 4s.

Strong
Great hanger, used with multiple calibers and stay in place. Holds ricochet beating. Will buy 2 more.

Would not buy again
I would return it but a bullet hit it on top and disfigured it. This product is not AR 500 and cannot withstand it being struck by 9 mm. The only way this product would work if you have a target that has a center hole so like that it would be protected by the plate.

Does not really fit a 2 x 4 and description very misleading
Product is of well build quality and seems sturdy enough for the intended purpose. What is very annoying is that it will not accept a standard 2 x 4 with out major mods to the dims of the 2 x 4. For the legs this is not that big of a deal but for the upright (think portability) this is a pain in the rear. As for the description "Highwild 2x4 Target Hanger | Target Stand Base | Adjustable Height Steel Post | AR500 Steel Gong Targets Conversion Adapter" One would think this is what you get - not so. You only get the 2 Target Stand Bases.

Cheap bolts
The product itself is good, but the bolts that come with the product are cheap. The nut and bolt won't thread together and are just stripping each other. Not that big of a problem but now I have to goto the local hardware store to find matching nuts and bolts. You don't buy a product to have to go fix it before you can use it.

Great solution to dealing with big gong stands
Bought this to mount a gong target to a single 2x4 post. Works like magic. I paired mine with Birchwood and Casey target mount. Protip: put the brackets on your gong and tighten them to a loose fit. Then secure the brackets to the main mount bolt with spring. Tighten that until just enough flex to move slightly. Then tighten the bracket bolts at the gong all the way.

Works as intended!
Granted wood is cheaper but this will last longer than that. (provided I hit where I aim).Wood works if you want to break it down but place it in the truck bed and go.Built very solid. Thinking of getting another set and this will be part of it also.
