““Babe, your life is a train wreck”
Cousin Vinnie makes Stephanie and Lula work at a deli he got as collateral for a bond. The deli has problems. Managers keep disappearing when taking out the garbage. Just one of their shoes is left behind.Almost everyone in Trenton blames aliens. But Morelli, Ranger, and Stephanie intend to find the human kidnappers. This is a fun plot with both Morelli and Ranger guarding Stephanie to keep her alive and out of trouble. As Ranger observes, her life is a train wreck. If you’re following the series, you know who’s who in this review. If not, start with the first book. You’re in for a great ride. The fun never lets up.

funnier than the one before
This series is consistently fun to read. Easy, like eating french fries. Plots are getting a bit thinner but still entertaining…

Stephanie did it again!
Another fun book from Janet Evanovich! There were a few times when I thought the book was all over the place, but Janet's sense of humor and the great characters pulled it out. I love Stephanie, Lula, Ranger and Morelli, all of the characters, and another fast-paced adventure made for fun reading. It is always hard to put JE' s books down!I love reading the Stephanie Plum books between heavier thrillers-I know Steph won't give me nightmares, but always entertains!I have re-read the earlier books 3 times!

This is a good book to read if you are bored.
Look Alive Twenty-Five is a mystery novel written by Janet Evanovich, a #1 New York times best-selling author who has written twenty four other mystery novels. If you had read this book without knowing that she had written twenty four others, you probably wouldn't know it. The book is not bad by any standards, but it defiantly is not one I would choose to read. You know a book is good when you choose to read it more than one time. The characters are not compelling or interesting, and the dialogue is flat and uninteresting. The main character of the story is a bounty hunter for a bail bonds agency named Stephanie Plum. Stephanie stars as the main character in twenty-four full-length novels, and her character is dull and boring. over twenty-four books she hasn't changed very much personally, other than becoming a slightly better bounty-hunter. Her dialogue is very on the surface, and doesn't advance her character in the slightest. A great example of a full story arc would be the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. the main character Percy is a child of a god, and he goes from a confused and weak boy, to a powerfull, capable hero who is compelling and fun. I would recommend those books to anyone who enjoys fiction books . The other characters are the usual stereotypes with no backstory or character development throughout the entire story. Lula is the curvy loose cannon, Morelli is the handsome cop who happens to be the main characters boyfriend, Ranger is the hunky task force guy who is in like a half relationship with Stephanie, Stretch is the short order cook/stoner,etc. the plot of the story is that Stephanie is made manager of Red River Deli, where previous managers were mysteriously kidnapped with no trace besides one shoe that is left behind. So Stephanie, Lula, and the gang have to figure out who on Earth (or perhaps not from this Earth) captured these people, and why they are doing it. While they struggle to manage the deli with little experience, they try not to be kidnapped by the strange napper and track down this menace. The plot and clues unfold at good pacing over the story, but when I neared the end, like the last two chapters, it did not seem like they were anywhere close to the end. This is when I knew that this would be a rushed ending, and it was. what was supposed to be the twist did not surprise me and I saw it coming. I'd recommend this book to mystery story fans who would like a more low key story to cuddle next to the fire with. So I give it a 3/5,that's an OK

An Enjoyable Romp with Lots of Ranger
I had read this series years ago and stopped after book 21, because I got tired of the love triangle and the same silly antics. I recently re-read the series and when you read the books in succession over a period of several weeks instead of years, the love triangle doesn’t seem so dragged out and the Stephanie/Lula antics still make me laugh. So I decided to read on.I really enjoyed this book 25, probably because there was lots of Ranger in it and I am TOTALLY Team Ranger. There was a really, really sweet moment between Stephanie and Ranger as they’re driving, looking for the bad guys and Stephanie gets wistful, wanting to just leave their troubles behind and drive on to Point Pleasant, lie on the beach together and hold hands. It was such a sweet, loving moment between them – both Stephanie’s wistfulness and Ranger’s tender reaction. Oh, my heart…Morelli has been a one-dimensional bore to me since book 2. He’s also a clueless idiot about Stephanie’s involvement with Ranger. Morelli trusts her and he seems oblivious that he’s sharing her affections with Ranger. There’s dishonesty in their relationship and I wish that would be addressed…and maybe have them realize they’re NOT meant to get married. Then again, maybe Morelli does know about her dalliances with Ranger, because when Grandma Bella was in the car with them and called Stephanie a slut, Morelli said nothing, not one word of support for his girlfriend. In contrast, when Vinnie was publicly ranting at Stephanie, calling her a walking clusterf***, Ranger quietly moved into Vinnie’s field of vision as a warning to shut up or face his rage. Yup, I am totally Team Ranger. If you are, too, I think you’ll enjoy this book. There was also a new twist with Stephanie and Lula working in a diner. I enjoyed the chaos that ensued.
